I'd much rather have a keen, passionate Glenn Roeder in charge, than an uninterested Martin O'Neill. I rate MON highly but if he doesn't want it he can fuck off.
I'd much, much rather have Roeder than the likes of Allardyce, McClaren, Bruce etc.
This is defintely an unambitious move, but i'm reasonably happy. He's meant to be a quality coach, read any quotes from ex players and they all love him.
Freddy though seems to have taken the 'its what the fans want' approach to cover his back.
