That said, he did a nice lay off for Sissoko's shot, but otherwise a very quiet game imo.
About that chance, it looked to me that he was in plenty of space, and would have comfortably been able to take the ball on and shoot himself. Couldn't believe it when he played it back.
It was quite representative of his afternoon: no real initiative, no real involvement, just strolling around the pitch.
Hopefully it picks up.

Well, I had the badge on too today...

Brought some god damn excitement.
-
It was up for the whole game as it is on Jack Flash's photo.

He's not a top quality player, but to have a go at him seems really unfair. He's being left out to dry up front with barely no one around him and little chance of doing anything decent.
-
Was just under where it first went up. Turned around, and there it was being put up in all its glory.

There's something about this squad and we have some decent, exciting players... Sadly they are being sent out there with no confidence, no encouragement to play to their strengths. Everyone: Pardewed.

Keane
Nice assist.

Forgot to mention it but nice of the club to make that matchday experience that little bit worse by deafening you to death and preventing conversation at half time with the new soundsystem.
Thought it was already borderline last season. Great.
Plus sitting through the Happy Birthdays the whole time is quite a horrific experience too.

I wonder if they have even met.
They meet up once a week incognito at Pret a Manger

Two years ago today.
"For me, Hatem was the stand-out player today. He was taking people on in all areas of the pitch and even got two of the Spurs players booked early on. Hatem won and scored the penalty and you need players like this if you are going to do well.
Such a class display by him on that day. Made the Spurs defenders look like fools when he got the pen.
And that goal against Villa in the home game after that. Ugh
-
Did you post that before or after they scored? Hard to tell

I find it really strange Pardew isn't at the very least keeping Ben Arfa involved enough so he can throw him on when we're behind for the old "bit of magic".
No mention of him whatsoever in Pardew's post match interview when he was listing through players.
-
Nowt to do with attitude. All to do with questioning Pardew's negative tactics. Just like most of us.
From a managerial perspective then that would be classed as an 'attitude problem'.
But yes, we all agree.
-
Probably not about the player himself, more what he represents.
Just a conduit for Pardew to display his authority.
-
Did a lot more than Riviere
Think he did okay, but neither of these guys should be left alone up front.
-
Explosiveness is a valuable asset, plus is fun to watch.
Hopefully we can see him in some sort of partnership up front...
-
Put in a good cross.
Regardless, it's too late now. I hate his face.
-
Showed him to the outside and onto his weaker foot... but then forgot he still had to do some sort of defending.
-
-
What a tackle that was by the City defender.
-
That defending fret from Obermong.

Pre programmed subs.

Cabella is brilliant.
Man. Just imagine.
Not too long now until Fifa and Pro Evo are out.
