Audio interviews with Ben Arfa's lawyer (at least that's what the people on the Marseille forum say). If anyone can speak French, these may be of interest.

- As it stands HBA has never said anything against his club or his manager.

- He was made to understand last season that it was probably best for him to find another club

- At the start of this season the manager, sporting director and president told him very clearly to find another club

- Then there was talk of NUFC. But it wasn't HBA that found NUFC. It was OM through agents that made it happen

- So we are in a situation that was engineered and wanted by Marseille, not HBA

- After talks took place we were informed that NUFC had met all the conditions put forward by OM (loan deal with option to buy)

- Yet OM seem to be messing about

- Final word to HBA who yesterday said "I won't be going back to Marseille".

Was allowed to stay 3 seasons too long in reality. Two of his last three managers tried unsuccesfully to sell him. Was embarrassing the hold he had over the Club especially when he took on that final season.

 

Did he hold the Club back ultimately?

Don't know what people think we would have "achieved" had he been forced out earlier. What has happened since he's retired and the strikers we brought in are a partial answer.

He scored 28 goals in his third to last season by the way.

If we got Bellamy, and he stayed fit, he'd be the difference between staying up and going down tbh.

Saw the highlights of Wales' game on SSN earlier... Bellars seemed like he was on a one man mission! Was involved in all their goals.

Lampard should get nowhere near the England team anymore.

 

Keep Gerrard in there and build the team around getting the best out of Rooney.

Would like to see both those things too.

Don't know how others still have the strength to watch an England game or be interested in the team being put out etc...

Even if he does try out different formations, or different tactics we all know that once the next big games and proper tournament comes around again we'll see Gerrard and Lampard together and probably Heskey too

Agreed Robert left/was pushed out at the right time. But Souness did it for the wrong reasons. Just one of those few times where his bullshit lucked out.
