One of the tutors at work just came in humming a tune which I recognised and whilst I was attempting to figure it out she went: "Sing, Sing Africaaaa". I'm sure that was the jingle from ITV's World Cup coverage
Done that too over the last few weeks. Just randomly blurted out "sing sing Africa"!

If you had a 40 or so game campaign ahead you'd probably be better off picking Xavi. But for WC campaigns or one off matches Zidane, the guy had a knack to turn it on when it mattered most.

Don't really like Puyol but having played over a decade as a centre back and going up for corners... that semi final goal he scored gave me a hard on!
-
I know its Bobbys foundation and all that but the logo looks crap on a top tbh. Would look alright on a sleeve though.
Indeed, very hard to integrate nicely over stripes
-
Some even better points brought up by TT and Messi.
Just some classic Arsenal moaning really.
-
They weren't carried by Zidane in 98, he even missed 2 and bit games for them after getting sent off. He popped up with the goods in the final but from a personal point he was much better in 06.
Still to answer the question I would say Spain 2010.

yeah it's his girlfirend

Lost a lot of respect for Iniesta over the course of this tournament. Watching Xavi tonight was also very reminiscent of Scott Parker!
All in all I was for Spain though, and hope Robben cries himself to sleep.

ok, sky news, bbc news, all uk papers, all are unanimous that this was a great world cup.
Well of course, they have a product and ads to sell, they need to convince themselves and the people watching that it was a lot better than what it actually was.
Atmosphere was the worst and most annoying ting about this tournament. As said, glad it's now over and we can move to something else.
-
Decent. Thankfully it picked up after that horrid first week or so. Also ruined by the poor/annoying atmosphere and to be honest I'm glad it's over.
Bring on the Prem.

Alright, if the match tomorrow is a draw after 90 minutes lets just share the world cup between them.
No, you have extra time, if it's still a draw you have penalties.
surely you can see the difference?
Individual awards are by-products of the events on the pitch.

If they insist on having a tiebreaker (which they shouldn't) for the top goalscorer having goals scored in qualifying would make just as much sense.
But then some players had the oppurtunity to play more games in qualifying. Do you suggest like Goals per game ratio or something?
Same goes in the actual WC. Some players play more games than others, but not suggesting anything really, just pointing out the absurdity of it.

Now that would be stupid. Why don't they just snap the trophy into four and give them each a bit. Everyones a winner, yaaaaaay!
... Or they would have a trophy for each player.
Are you nuts?
Are you? They do that with pretty much every other individual award and in other sports too when there's a tie. And it's the only fair and logical way.

Just talking about it on ITV now... what a joke. Unsurprisingly typical FIFA logic though.
What do you suggest they do? Draw it out of a hat?
Just share it.
-
So if theres no Villa goal tomorrow is it Muller Golden Boot for his 3 assists?

Suarez not doing his job on the line for Germany's winner.
-
Forlan
Still hope Uruguay lose though.

Goal-line technology is back on the agenda after Fifa revealed this World Cup is set to be the last tournament under the existing refereeing system.
Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke told the BBC that TV replays showing Frank Lampard scoring a goal against Germany was a "bad day" for organisers.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8801981.stm
Really don't like the sound of that wording. Most likely means FIFA will remain in their cave and desperately try and come up with some bullshit way to still not use any technology.
Maybe have an extra referee standing next to each goalpost why not?!

Wow at that West Brom sponsor!
Was not expecting that. Horrid shirt ruiner.
