  1. OMG, Papin in the studio, cool! Didn't know his English was any good.

Got to love the build up here  Dunphy saying the French manager is a joke, that he proposed to his wife on live TV and she rejected him  There has to be a clip of this.

 That's not true... he did propose in the post match interview of the game that saw them get knocked out, but she didn't say no.

    Come on Ireland!

  2. There's nothing wrong with him feeling this way and maybe going through with it this Summer, but to say it to the public now is unprofessional and retarded. Misplaced mistimed honesty

He made such a fuss last Summer, got his move to City and now is saying there's a chance he'll just pack it in? As said I bet the City fans are delighted.

A Knight to Remember film launched to celebrate Sir Bobby Robson's life

TEARS of laughter and sadness blended in Newcastle yesterday as a film celebrating the life and career of Sir Bobby Robson got its first screening.

A Knight to Remember, which is now on sale, was played to a specially-invited audience at the Tyneside Cinema.

Sir Bobby’s widow Lady Elsie and son Andrew were joined in the audience by Alan Shearer, Tim Healy, Bobby Pattinson, Ray Laidlaw and film-maker Geoff Wonfor who directed the DVD, which will benefit the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Featuring Sir Bobby’s last interviews as well as contributions, memories and tributes from family, friends and stars of the worlds of sport and entertainment, the DVD is sure to touch the hearts of football fans and Geordies everywhere.

Gary Lineker, Sir Bobby Charlton, Ant and Dec, Des Lynam, Brendan Foster, Shay Given, Sir Alex Ferguson, Malcolm Macdonald, Jack Charlton, Bob Moncur, Steve Cram and Paul Gascoigne are just some of those who lined up to play their part in the film...

  4. Edit: Forgot, the sponsor across the Lyon chest yesterday was "Kool Shen", a Parisborn hiphop-artist. His record label, Universal Music, wanted to make some advertisement for his new upcoming album and put it on the Lyon shirts.. Imagine us switching Northern Rock for Oasis or something like that for our next game...

That's what it said then. Lyon's official shirt sponsor is Betclic this season. However it's still illegal to advertise betting sites in France or something like that, supposedly a law should be going through some time soon. But in the meantime they've had to wear sponsorless shirts for domestic games. Maybe they'll be doing one offs now until then.

  5. The way Beresford talks about it is really interesting, sad and feels really spot on.

He wouldn't change a single thing of what happened during the 94-97 seasons just can't live with how it suddenly went sour and the frustration of not pushing for it again seeing how close the team was.

  6. They usually dont have to, that's why theyre good to watch 31 matches out of 39

There'll always be incidents in which they will show off their wankerness even in games they dominate.

Ironically one the few likable characters on their team now is Anelka

  7. ... he was going to build something special, only for him to walk away 4 months later.

Always wondered how Shearer felt about that too. Glad Ginola mentioned it in the Time of our Lives thing. Don't think I could watch that again, it's just too sad.
