Annoying how clearly it was coming. Not winning anything in the air defensively. Can't afford to lose challenges like that in the box... first ball, second ball, third ball, of course it's a goal afterwards
-
Aye, but they accpet it's part of the fun and just get on with it. Wish there was a lot less BS in football too.
Oh well that makes it OK then, and far more fair than football
Well actually.... yeah!

Don't think I was even aware Danny Murphy played for Fulham now!

and those fuckers who reckon rugby is a fairer, more honest, clean sport want fucking shooting as well
How is it not though?

The way a lot of them act on the pitch makes it pretty hard to defend football at times though.
I can understand the annoyance some people have about football though. It's not really a case of "If you don't like it ignore it, or don't bother saying anything" because it's on all the time (pretty much every day of the week now) and is talked about all the time.
Even moreso in a city like Newcastle! Having lived there for a short while, it must be daily murder if you don't like the game
I'm just glad I do like football.

Take a wild guess

Agree... been a while saying that too... last season i see him got glimpse of potential...
But why people compare him to fucking Ameobi?
Because he used to be poor, would get the odd goal but overall would hold up play because was too slow to catch on, would give the ball away too often, overall costly to the team. Compltely different player now though.
-
3 for Adebayor... impressive! Rich man's Ameobi tag well and truly shaken off!
Said for a while he isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be.
He was poor at first though for quite a while... but come a long long way in the last few months. Guess it's a credit to the Arsenal recruitement and training system.

Fucking Derby
-
from .co.uk any time soon apparently.

He reacts (slowly) to everything in the game rather than trying to actually anticipate what is going to happen.
That is one thing in particular I just cannot comprehend with Shola. No matter where the ball goes, where it bounces, how it bounces, whether it takes a deflection or not... he almost always seems to be taken off guard by it. He never expects the ball to do what it actually does.
Not only is that a sign of a poor sportsman, it's also the sign of an idiot.

"we're going to take a couple of pictures, Charles"
Zog: "What?"
"Say Cheese..."
Zog: "Huh?"

Ohhh... very classy!

For the next game: yes.
But indeed no one should be automatic over a whole season.

I think we have every right to be disapointed, even angry about the way we lost to Derby. Team selection especially is very worrying from Sam. Even for a team "in the making" or "gradually getting there" which we are, it was as if right from the start we were deliberately putting extra hurdles out there for us to jump over.
You have to mirror that result with the Villa home game. We could have won that, but at the same time it was a performance from a team far from being a finished article... Can't really see much positive to take at all from Monday night.
however tanked Bolton away, dominated the Wigan game and should have won the Smog game too. Come on man, get a grip. Its a brand new team with loads of new players. Things dont happen over nnight, no matter how short sighted you are.
aye, and it was great to watch the efforts from the Wigan game all go to waste.

Just a question of forgetting it and thinking of the next game. I hope Sam doesnt forget though, and adjusts some of his tactics accordingly.

Ameobi's size would make him a candidate for a keeper........
Green jersey, fat gloves.....
Sorted. Problem over.
There you go... you're falling into the "big man" trap aswell! The man can't jump, having him as keeper would worse than having Martins in goal

I'd like to echo what Brummie posted last night:
"Chelsea, on pretty much any level you care to look at it, are a vile club."
This only adds to it whether he left or he was sacked actually. A very fitting outcome.
-
... and Barca pile on late on Lyon, Henry netting!
-
PS: fucking Pattison!
-
^ Bit harsh... he does seem to like his horsies though
Having personally gone through the whole serious footballing knee injury thing, thought it was very interesting.

Robbie Fowler against Arsenal, when he refused a penalty and then took a weak one so Seaman could save it.
Did he fuck.
He said it shouldn't be a peno, aye, but he still clearly tried to score it.
I thought he did score it?
Saved by Seaman, rebound knocked in by McAteer

Kick up the backside, we are forced to create something again now... looks like it might be tough.
