  1. We've taken the exact same approach with this guy than with Cabella 12 prior. We might as well have kept the first one. Nice little futile exercise that has cost the club 12 million.

  2. Had a couple of right specimens in the pub last night - personal favourite was a 60 year old brummie in all his replica kit giving it the big one all night, thought he was going to cry when Dummett scored.

Think a lot of gloryhunters in general are massive social inadequates just trying desperately to be associated with something successful, got to feel sorry for them really.

    Well, that's one theory.

  3. I wish everyone could see the massine line that separates Newcastle United and Sports Direct

    What do you mean?

Just the fact that supporting Newcastle has nothing to do with supporting Ashley and Sports Direct, the fans at the match today will have been going to games long before the fat bastard came Herr and will be going long after he has gone I just think it's very harsh to tar them with the brush that because they support their team they support Ashley which is 100% not the case

It is unfortunately very naive to still be hoping this is the case. There's no reason for him to change the way he runs the club. NUFC continues to be one of the best supported clubs in Europe.

The horrific state of the stadium should be enough of a strong symbol to prove that if there is even a "massine line that separates Newcastle United and Sports Direct", it's about as wide as the gap between two of the SD signs placated around the ground.

  4. From a purely sporting perspective surely it was correct to give it to Aubameyang. Which is why Toure isn't arguing the point from a sporting perspective, but rather bringing up this gripe.

Very bitchy. They officials should buy him a cake to calm him down.

  5. Didn't he score like 5 in 6 around Christmas time one year? Scored against Spurs at WHL I remember

Took him a while to get his first, but once he did he got a few in quick succession.

The last 4 months of the 02/03 season he was the best midfielder in the country IMO.  That stupid pen v Chelsea knocked tons of confidence from him.

Had forgotten about that, but yeah, you can probably pinpoint his downfall to that very moment.

  6. He stopped playing quite young, but feel a bit old having witnessed his entire playing career pass me by (sideways, of course).

Likewise... Born in 1983 like myself so I remember very well when we signed him.

Took a little while to get going but he was brilliant in the 02-03 season.
