Makes it interesting but Leicester should still win the league if they react in the right way.
If you has offered them three points from those two away game, Man City and Arsenal, before the fact they would definitely have taken it.
Arguably Arsenal aren't even their most likely challengers anyway. Think the 'OMG the title race has swung' narrative is a bit over done.
Given the later fixture, second spot is definitely Arsenal's to lose now. But Leicester winning at Man City last week meant they were allowed to slip up.
Not losing today would have been massive though. Shame

3 nil under twenty minutes, man
I'd like to say I can't believe it, but of course I can. Just another humiliation for the stock pile. There have been so many the last three years that they hardly register anymore. Another loss.

As it stands, we have the best goal difference out of the bottom 4. Only just. Makes a change to previous seasons where we've been way behind. But yeah, that needs to remain.
That's now sorted then. Cool, cool...

need to bring Perez on and go 4-4-2
Meh, whatever.
-
... Is this because we all laughed too much at Pardew earlier?

Losing this doesn't change much from the pre game situation.
Just a shame we have to embarrass ourselves to defeat in the first 9 minutes.

ft 2-2 norwich
Phew... Man, that is so huge for us.

RIP, Aarons.
This and McClaren's inability to make any pro active changes leaves me very worried.

Trifon Ivanov, former Bulgarian international, has died aged 50. Presume he played at SJP in Euro 96
Yeah in both games Bulgaria played there.
This guy was a legend when I was in primary school for his USA94 sticker.
50... not cool

Been away all evening, I hear about the news for the first time via the thread title and now I have tears of laughter from the last two pages.

The egg tossing and Siem... That can't have ended well.

Was my first thought, and I suspect so.

Agree, the design of the lion itself is very classy but as a badge like that it doesn't work well.

The Ben Arfa shit is enough for a never forget, never forgive situation. But then you add all the rest on top.

Meh, blocking stuff on the internet always works well and very smoothly.

Our 97/99 kit was made from some horrible material, like. Clicked like hell and I remember it smelling odd too.
That kit was crazy baggy. Even for a time back then when it was more the style for shirts to be baggier.

Decent hit by Cabella... But Kevin Trapp hardly glorious one again.

Mitrovic should have scored his earlier chance (class save tbf). Tiotes goal was perhaps harshly disallowed, and Winni should have scored that header second half. Cannot blame mcclaren for only 1-0, but you could blame to backroom staff for not getting us a more proven finisher.
Don't agree at all. Offside all day long.
The argument is wether he was in line of Foster's vision. Pretty clear he was offside.
also the linesman seemed to change his mind, as he did not flag at the time of the goal.
He didn't "change his mind", he obviously realised Mitro's position, but would not have known whether to call it or not as the question whether he was in the way lied with the ref.
Hence the discussion between the two.
Typically a linesman wouldn't flag if the player in question didn't touch the ball or didn't motion towards it.

Obviously, Ope meant that the ruling to call offside was a clear one.
Which is correct.

He pushes the team forward, and on the days when he does play well and is involved I'm still amazed at his energy levels. Running full pelt at people in the first minute, still running full pelt at others in the 89th. Yes he could be better or score more but I'm not too concerned about the lack of goals because his interplay with those around him is good and creates danger.
Having Shelvey, Townsend, Gini... should hopefully mean potential threats coming from different areas and allow him more space.

Ouch. Tough break for Zurt.

Always nice to see Liverpool falter but it's bad enough that Sunderland are back breathing down our necks now.
