If we had the luxury of decent centre backs, would love to see what Mbemba would be like in a defensive midfielder role.
Sure he'd be quality, and it would be the end of the great ginger experiment. Oh well.
-
Was going to mention that one... double inform was it not?

Fucking love CL nights. Didn't used to be in the slightest bit arsed about them but since my interest in NUFC has diminished, I really look forward to them. Early group games are always so entertaining.
I agree. Earlier on, teams play more freely. The football is maybe better in the latter knockout stages, but the bullshit quickly becomes unbearable.
-
That touch to get it past the last player is quality. By that I mean look at where he initially intended to go, he's off to his right again so quickly. Typical of his dribbling: playing the angles and seeing space where no one else realised there was any.
In the end it got deflected making it into a chance to shoot which he also adapted to quicker than anyone, obviously.
-
Ha, just seen that. Class. Happy for him.
Made their team of the week also of course:

PSG vs Marseille could be nasty. Paris seem to be plodding along and Marseille imploding.
Bayern v Dortmund has potential to be the most entertaining of those.
-
Him 'getting a move' is probably not the best thing for him imo. It's all about happiness with him and that doesn't necessarily equate to being at a big club or playing at the very highest level, he's just a kid in the yard basically.
Agreed. He'll never make it at the top level and that's a massive shame.
Hopefully he gets some sort of shot... Like Robert Redford in The Natural. 37 year old Hatem playing in the Champions League final dribbling every cunt in sight one last time to score the winner.
-
Seems a bit needlessly petty from Alan, though.
-
Hatem is now the barometer to identify negative morons in the NUFC support
-
Ligue 1 refs always just make the rules up as they go along.
-
ok - he didn´t play yesterday...his time will come...and he must learn its hard work to be a star player!
hope he is not ben arfa version 2.0
Yeah, uhmm... Let's hope he is.

Bordeaux 3-0 up at half time against Lyon after losing 6-1 to Benny's boys the other day.
-
Didn't get to see the game but liking what I'm reading on here or heard on the radio.
Hopefully this guy puts to bed the Dummett vs Haidara battle of anguish.
-
As if I sat through Arsenal and Watford, but following this on my phone...
Ayoze scores and Colback is booked. Sounds like the perfect first half.
-
I wonder if he could get Converse football boots.
-
Get in Hatem
Cannot be mad at that.

Rubbish talking about wanting Cabella back. This lad will be fine.

He ran his bollocks off the poor cunt.

Colback the second best player according to Paperback.
Sissoko-3
Florian THAUVIN 4
Was content to jog around at times as the game passed him by
Was about to say that. You could see his silly hair waving all over the place every time he lost the ball busting a gut to get back.
-
Most of the crosses yesterday either went too high clearing everyone and even the whole penalty area, or didn't get off the ground and didn't clear the first man (looking at you, Haidara).
-
Also given Colback's ability to judge the flight of a ball, he will never be able to give us an overhead kick.
-
There was one moment in the second half where he totally mistimed a jump for a ball like a fucking child on a school playground. Was unbelievable. Shite bastard.
Was referring to this earlier. It really was unbelievable. He was all alone, unchallenged too
-
His heading is atrocious. Numerous times he jumps and it just flicks off the top of his head creating danger for everyone behind him. That's when he doesn't miss it completely and just jumps moronically arms flailing like he did in the second half
The other choice is to avoid it all together, which we saw with the amount of balls that easily dropped to Watford players from the long balls around his area.

Keep playing. We usually crumble into a heap in the corner when we take the lead. Come on.
