  1. But good the rest of the season, especially Coloccini. Colo should definitely be straight back in. Agreed. I also think Taylor has done well since he came in. No-one on here will agree but I'd go for Colo-Taylor still. *Bites tongue. Shuffles out of thread*
  2. Taylor and Campbell were awful against Liverpool regardless of the scoreline. If Colo and Williamson aren't back in the starting XI then the Pardew Out bandwagon will start rolling
  3. Was it not KK that made him captain? I remember at the time we were struggling for leaders but he is the opposite of one. Disgusting little loach. Was a strange choice. Well, not really strange, we know he done it to coerce him into staying. But Nolan is a fantastic leader. What he lacks on the pitch skill wise, he more than makes up for in his leadership. I do love this team right now, just such a likeable group of lads. They're all playing for the right reasons and look like they feel it when they score/concede. For example Krul's reaction on Saturday when Carroll got the third, Tiote and Williamson looking mortified against Blackburn when they dropped clangers for both goals.
  4. First set of players I've genuinely like in ages and credit for that has got to be given to Hughton for building a proper team spirit. Even under Robson I couldn't abide Dyer, Jenas, Bramble etc. who seemed to be here for no more than the cash and the night life.
  5. He was only there for a week or two. That condition was lifted ages ago.
  6. Anyone else seen Jose's latest tweet? Ranger's boxer shorts
  7. Fucking Dean Saunders "Shuttle runs, lads. Hours of them." Anyone else remember when he injured himself leading the warm up and Shearer just stood pointing at laughing at him?
  8. It's pathetic how happy I get just reading Jose's tweets. He seems like such a nice bloke.
  9. Technically he's still very good but he's awfully unfit. The past two games he's been piss poor but when he's been called upon before that he still looked the part. The thing with Sol is you can never tell how he is mentally either.
  10. Taylor has form for this sort of thing, so I can't help but think he's being a bit of a knobber. In the time we've been negotiating with him we've tied down four first team players on improved deals.
  11. He did? Taylor was pretty much faultless in the first half of the Championship season and since he's came back he hasn't done much wrong. Campbell has been shaky and cost us a couple of goals. I don't see the point in arguing this point because too many people are blinded by their hatred of Taylor on this forum but I think it's pretty sad some of the jibes at him. I'd have been furious is Taylor wasn't capable of playing at Championship level given the amount of time he's had bluffing his way through games in the top flight. For a player that had never had the chance to prove himself at the top level Williamson's performances in this year have been very good, save for the odd moment. I don't think it's up for debate who the better defender is out of the two. Taylor was f***ing awful yesterday, both our centre backs were. There was quite a few occasions when he switched off and played Liverpool onside. Simpson had a right go at him at least twice because he was dicking around and letting them in. Taylor's response? He waved his armed around a bit, gestured to the rest of the back four to push up and then did the same thing again a few minutes later. It's not up for debate who's better out of the two? I give up. Thank God for that. What's with the attitude? Your bird get shagged by Taylor or something? I wish. I'd have an excuse to rebreak his jaw I don't rate Taylor, I think he has got away with being shite for years on the back of the fact he's a local lad. Granted when he should've been learning he was forced to lead the line, something which has probably stunted his progress but in the cold light of day he's just not good enough. For someone who loves the club so much he's got an awful habit of dragging out contract negotiations to get his own way, although that's probably down to the fact he's represented by Paul Stretford. I think he can be quite easily replaced, if not in the transfer market then by Kadar.

  14. Coloccini justifies his wages far, far more than Taylor would at 60k a week. I agree Taylor doent deserve anything over 40k p/w but Coloccini being on 70k p/w or Smith being on 50k p/w is criminal Coloccini earns his 70k a week 100000000x as much as Smith earns his 50k a week. Colo is a 50k p/w defender, Taylor 30k p/w, Williamson 20k p/w in my opinion Williamson is twice the player Saylor is.
  15. His goal record would be much better if his job last season wasn't to come on in the last five minutes and hold the ball up when we were winning.
  16. I'd not lose any sleep if I never saw him in a Newcastle shirt again to be honest. I know we don't know all the ins and outs of his contract situation but it's not as if he doesn't have form for trying to hold the club to ransom. I don't think he'll ever be a top quality centre back regardless of who he is playing alongside either. Signing Williamson was the final nail in the coffin for Taylor. He came in, did the basics and really showed how poor of a defender Saylor is. He's also got Kadar breathing down his neck who looks like a fantastic prospect.
  17. @Josenufc3 It's Enrique and it's been confirmed by WR10 as legitimate.
  18. It's like 20 pictures of the indoor training session, then randomly, Best just looking clueless alone out in the snow... "So, uh...what do I do now?" http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5046/5249198550_b5fe50a0b2_z.jpg He looks like he's in the middle of belting out Hello. "Oi! Leon! You look a bit like Lionel Richie. Stand over there and sing that song about the blind lassy."
  19. John Brownlie was told by Colin Calderwood on Saturday evening the Hughton didn't have long left and Pardew had more or less signed a contract.
