Second half the movement was non-existent. Harper didn't have many other options but to twat it really.
-
Still a shit name, but I was impressed with their efforts yesterday. Nice big banner too, just need a 'Shepherd Out' one now.
-
As I edited my post before though HTL, Shepherd failed again through the timing of Robson's dismissal. Thinking proactively he should have got rid in the summer and started afresh. The timing was awful, and virtually left us with someone of Souness' calibre. Also, the PR with regards to the 'this is his last season' was farcical.
-
Shepherd has shown himself to be too reactive when employing managers rather than proactive IMO, hence Souness coming in 'to sort the discipline out' despite the fact he was doing an awful job with Blackburn. Also, sacking Robson six games in or whatever rather than getting rid in the summer and starting afresh when it was clear Robson was on the wane. All the others can be followed through in this manner too, regardless of their CVs.

And that is where the FA should be stepping in. Whether the Clubs rech agreement or not the FA should enforce its own rules regardless. Agreed.
-
Far from it for me to defend them, but NUFC had to report 11 months this year, it was due to a change in finiancial regulations that everyone had to comply with.
-
All decent additions but useless without a manager who knows what the fuck to do with them.
-
It's a pity Leeds aren't in a position to turn that down. It would have been nice to see them progress with the claims on principle alone but it won't happen.
-
Agreed, though he did well enough first half today. Pity the numpty manager didn't sub him until about 30mins after he'd run out of steam.
-
If i recall correctly. And I still think it was a bad miss. Duff's shot wasn't that hard.
-
Watford. I still don't think we'll go down, but it's getting very serious.
-
To be fair he did have two defenders on the line he had to try and get the ball over. He was no more than a few yards out. Directing it on target would have probably yielded a goal IMO.
-
I was utterly convinced at the time (like thousands of others) but a replay shows the contact was minimal. The bit i've highlighted in bold is the key though, and I said that at the game.
-
Aye, it's just that in a 0-0 draw i'd have thought they wanted to show the shots that came closest, at least...
-
Not impressed with MOTD. Didn't show Parker's screamer that narrowly missed, or the Rossi freekick just over in the second half.
-
Viewing that Rossi shot onto the bar on MOTD again, he really should have scored. Awful miss.

Don't know if you were at the game or where you where were seated so I don't know if you were able to see Roeder or Pearson but from watching on Sky I saw one occasion where Roeder and pearson were in discussion, so I would think they would have been discussing tactics, also obviously Sky don't show too much of the sidelines so it is impossible for me to know just how much discussion between the two went on. I was sat in the Milburn, second row. In the second half when Charlton were in our half a lot I watched Roeder and Pearson, and there were a few times where Roeder was already stood up and Pearson ran out, past him and started shouting. He can't have taken instructions then.

8 points from 30 is pretty poor tbh.
-
Stozo, I edited my post. I read yours too quickly, apologies. As Johnny posted more concisely, it worries me that the manager seems to be doing nothing and the assistant is having to motivate them. I don't think Roeder was giving him instructions at the end of the match unless he was doing sign language behind his back.
-
Why make him warm up for 20 mins if you're not going to at least give him a go? He couldn't exactly make things worse.
-
Good, cos it would be quite a shit comparison, considering both Wenger and Ferguson have shown themselves to be rather decent managers. I'm just less than impressed that a guy who's been here less than a week is already having to instruct the players because the manager isn't.

I'm glad someone is.
