http://onbarrackroad.com/ Anyone come across this before? Canny good blog about us, even if he does have a dig at my article (or at least that bloody title ). Old stuff's well worth reading too, I've gone about 7 or 8 articles back, very anti-Pardew's football. Preaching to the converted obviously, but still good.

Full year renewals aren't even fucking out yet as far as I know, they just say anything.
-
With Souness, you knew that enough pressure would make Shepherd crack sooner rather than later. What we've got now feels like a long and drawn out death sentence.

I bet they aren't the only club in England that feels that way about cup competition. I bet some other clubs without much ambition in the Premier League have that attitude, secretly. With respect, most of those clubs aren't Newcastle United. Pigeon-holing us with clubs like Hull, Swansea, Stoke et al is doing the club's work for them (not that you were necessarily, but it's often done just because we're in the same division). It's a bit of a funny Premier League at the moment in that there's a lot of teams who are still fairly new arrivals to the gravy train, or who have been yo-yo clubs. If other clubs want to solidify their Premier League status, to become mainstays like we are/were, that's up to them (all of them still have better cup records than us since 2007, for the record). The expectations of a Newcastle fan to be at least punching our weight with Everton and Spurs are perfectly reasonable - very similar clubs to us within the Premier League era. The only other club in the division who can really have similar cause for complaint is Aston Villa, who are also suffering in a similar fashion and are also a much bigger club than those around them.

Calling that research is the funniest thing. Any of us could tell you that off the top of our head.

By a fucking mile.

The worst cunt ever employed by Newcastle United.
-
Top ten was last year. They haven't decided yet what their "target" is for next season but they'll let us know.
-
Exactly, this is it. "Our priority is the Premier League." "What, to win it?" "No, to come 10th" Aye, nice one. Some fucking funny definition of "priority".

35 points was enough to stay up this season. We had 33 on the day we played Cardiff.
-
Makes me absolutely rage when I see them say "the team selected was good enough to beat Cardiff" despite all the evidence that says winning and scoring without Remy and/or Cabaye proved nigh on impossible all season (and the manager's whinged like fuck to that effect).

If we get a home draw in the League Cup, you can guarantee there'll be at least 25,000 genuine mentals in attendance.
-
Imagine if we qualified for this because of that. Ashley would be fucking foaming, so angry he'd go and buy Messi to fuck the books.
-
What they going on like that for? The club aren't even getting that much money for winning this. Daft cunts.
-
Fuck was that? Was expecting his to be perfect.
-
The club have no credit agreement in place so there are no consequences. You lose what you've paid so far and that is literally all that will happen.

It's not just that Neesy. This approach from Ashley and friends is in no way sustainable. As a parent, how do I sell NUFC to my kids if there's nothing remotely attractive about them? 'Well son, we'll be between 9th and 15th every year. We'll never win a cup, we'll never get into Europe oh, and you know your favourite player, that fucking great one we picked up cheap from Timbuktu, well he'll be sold just as soon as we can turn a profit on him'. 'That said, it's in our blood, they're our team so, I'm afraid you're stuck with them.............get ready for years of piss taking from the other kids whose clubs actually try to achieve something'. 'Fuck off Dad'. I've been thinking and worrying about this. There's a bloke at work, Boro fan, with a son, I think he's about 9 or 10 but was born and lives up here. Over the years I've seen the kid always in Newcastle tops on Facebook and I've heard the bloke say that he'd never force Boro on his son cos he's from Newcastle and all his mates support us. A couple of months ago, he put photos on of him and the lad at a Boro game. I asked him about it and he said his son had just asked to go to a game. Now they've been a few times and the lad is always in a Boro hat and shirt on Facebook. We're not just losing future support to Man City, we're losing them to fucking Middlesbrough.

It's almost like an interesting social experiment. How far can you push a football fan before they'll stop giving you money? This'll be one of Ashley's brats' dissertation in a year or two.
-
100% I'm the last person who would have thought of walking away even two years ago but howay. Nobody can justify giving their money to this lot any more.
-
I've definitely done the right thing. Scum.
-
I've not overlooked it but "please please please Alan, please don't get smashed off the mackems yet again, please?!" I'm sticking with "fuck off you cunt"
-
Pleading with this cunt? I wouldn't lower myself. Tell him to fuck off and have done with it.

I'm out. I've done it. The lack of investment doesn't bother me in terms of not renewing. Obviously it bothers me in terms of the team but I know that the money remains inside the club for the most part. Pardew is the straw that has broken the camel's back for me. Even said in the email that if he gets the bullet in the near future then cancel the cancellation. My conscience won't let me put any more money towards that man's employment.
