  1. There was one bloke who I ended up standing near in the Gallowgate Corner most home games. Constantly yelled "Dillon, get off!!!", pretty much every time he touched the ball. Was moderately amusing the first time I heard it, but by about March, the novelty had worn off like Used to stand in the corner during that season - shifted to the Scoreboard after the playoffs v the mackems. I remember 'Kenny Everett' who used to sit in the East Stand and start the signing up there.
  2. Dillon, FFS. The late 80's/early 90's Alan Smith. ::
  3. Lion of Gosforth. It was actually my first ever away game. Have always loved a trip to Ewood, since.
  4. Agreed, Robster. I remember walking back to the bus, with a traffiic cone on my head (I was only 17!) Was a canny trip back home - lots of singing.
  5. Over 40000 expected for tomorrow's game.
  6. I was a shite day all round. On the bus leaving Blackburn, the local radio guy was going on like they'd just won the champions league with the best performance of all time. I don't remember Tom's Diner from that day but i remember it being sung there the following season when we went and won 0-1 to a last minute Steve Howey goal. Liam O'Brien ;-) And yup - the ditty was sung. I was there.
  7. Yup - he was utter toilet. Wasn't at all interested.
  8. Clarke was before my time (just!) Askew was a midfielder? Whitehurst was a mentalist Cunningham - not gifted by any means, but he always put in 100%
  9. Rob McDonald - signed from PSV (I think) after a scouting mission led by then chariman, Gordon McKeag in 1988. He was a bag of shite.
  10. Man Yoo = pish Huge changes needed at that club in terms or playing personnel and even then, it probably still won't work.
  11. Is there any chance the Manc derby could get called off tonight? Manchester getting a bit of a pasting from a storm. :: https://www.facebook.com/SoccerAM/posts/2459383604085259?__xts__[0]=68.ARCvwWhpsiVM-CJiHOWw0NNkfRFSybptWFtOamgg79n7L4kX5ERQmoR9Il6E67bNafgFNbVL4mztvM5yobZ3DSvQyPJls5jdVrKtIIE1fkf-MvRiMP_QJQ7v5UOn708XGrPDFC9APl39WmRyzY6j_VhJeakusQYN2_-yZyrAd1pajDxWeHblX2OrR6TghfN2XGoNCHolXt_9j8QkjmxceRPLcq0R9XSCHXq08kYDRO0S7uR6sazEsD8EZeBoVFZuXFUNiMSG54nq7-vi_xsuoI49qDbpqL0-hfM-Y9Y-cYlru5bDYJfEoD6gbWYCeaXycMTj0RFFwZxlGRnLlBc_j1b0zI6geAo&__tn__=C-R
  12. Aye - it's all for the lackey's in the media and the sheep to lap up.
  13. Club PR has already started tonight - talk of a £100 million 'war-chest' (over 2 seasons) in the Mirror.
  14. take the first leter of each paragraph... Bravo!
  15. Pen to Liverpool - another dive from Salah?
  16. Some kicking off in the ground (Talkshite)
  17. Shearer baiting the Mancs. Quality craic
  18. Everton 1-0 up Richarlison with a belter of an overhead kick
  19. #unitedasone Great win. The bloke sat next to me walked in as the teams were coming out - he took one look at the rainbow flag, described it as sad and then made a derogatory comment (which he then repeated twice during the game). Feels a bit sad I've got his seat number and am going to report it. No one likes a tell tale but equally I feel that if I just let it go then people will just continue to get away with it. Get it done
