  1. If this is gonna be the standard fayre for the last 10 games, then you's lads will have to start planning trips to Plymouth and Preston next season. The players aren't bothered and the management team are clueless. If this club has any intention of staying up, then Ashley will fetch a proven manager in to try and turn it around. By the time Kinnear returns (against Stoke) - we could well be dead and buried or as good as. But then again, we all know that JK isn't the answer too.
  2. Radio Newcastle reckon that Geremi has tucked in to play alongside Smith and Butt. So - we have no right midfield.
  3. Couple of stats, just been on the radio. When Hull have scored first, they've never lost so far this season. When we've gone behind first - we've never won. Oh joy.
  4. Not hopeful here. The result and performance will tell us much about the attitude of the players, for the fight which lies ahead.
  5. and this is after one loss too, never mind they won the cl last year and the league Oh aye - some Mancs are so quick to slate fans of other clubs, but really they are no different than the rest of us when they get hammered.
  6. Smith has to go in the middle with Butt, with grandad Geremi down the right. Means a lot of onus is on Jonas. Lets hope he has a good'un.
  7. Liverpool were tremendous. Been a great week for them. Also good to see the Mancs on the receiving end for once and the empty seats were great too.
  8. Good first half. Nice to see something not going the way of the Mancs for a change. Andy Gray annoying because of his constant wanking over the Mancs.
  9. I wonder if it was Liverpool themselves who complained about it?
  10. Well, Liverpool's luck has to run out sometime.
  11. I actually think it'll be the usual damp squib tomorrow - the Mancs to take a meek game 1-0. Will still be watching though.
  12. Not sure if many have heard about this, but it seems that Wayne Rooney made some comments ahead of tomorrow's game against Liverpool, which went up on the Man United website and were subsequently taken down. In the interview, he confirmed his 'hatred for Liverpool' (being an Everton supporter and a Man United player) and that he'd take great delight in ending their title hopes tomorrow. Seems as if someone at Man United objected to it and it's been taken off the site so as not to create more tension ahead of tomorrow's game. It is a case of censorship being taken too far yet again? I don't have a problem with what Rooney said (from what I read about it) He speaks with passion and that is good when passion seems to becoming a lost art form within the game. What say you's?
  13. I think if the pattern continues (English clubs dominating) that the move towards the next inevitable consequence will become all the quicker... a European Super League which will probably replace the CL. It's been talked about for years and if clubs such as those from Spain, Germany and Italy feel they are becoming left behind, then they will push for it (for a bigger slice of the pie) All in all - doesn't bode well for the future of football, IMO.
  14. That's the worry for me - that our lot aren't prepared to knuckle down and scrap. I saw nothing of that when I went to Bolton and Blackburn. The likes of Hull and Stoke will mix it up a bit. I'm not sure our lads are that bothered. Yes we played well against Man United - but also remember that it was an opportunity for those players (who played) who want away, to put themsleves in the shop window for the summer.
  15. Nah - Jenas in Malaysia was even worse than that.
  16. What's the betting on the 4 English clubs being paired together in the last 16?! UEFA will be desperate to avoid another all English final.
  17. Deeper and deeper in the clarts. Hull simply a must-win now.
  18. Yup - was bad that night. Couldn't even see the Leazes End from the Gallowgate, so christ knows as to why it kicked off. Think they only played about 20mins or so.
  19. Was it not fog that got it called off? Nope - not that one. Think you might be mixing that up with the FA Cup replay against Bournemouth, which was either 90/91 or 91/92. I went to that game as well - and no, we didn't get our cash back Was half price for the re-arranged game though.
