No Bassong or Steven Taylor - Beye in at DC, and Ryan Taylor ar RB. Bassong a huge miss.

Steven Taylor not on the team bus, according to Radio Newcastle - Bassong was though.

I'd love to see us get a win - that's what my heart says. Head says however, that they will have too much for us. They'll win 2-1, after a spirited performance from us.

Shearer can do his badges though - indeed, he's not got much left to do IIRC.

Ashley must really be desperate to win the fans back over. If it's true, I hope he can turn it around. I just don't have a good feeling about it at all. The thing is though, if we go down then it's a good time for him to take the reins anyway. Maybe - but if we do go down, many in the media will seek to blame him. Has to be a piss take. Can't see why Shearer would come now (of all times) and also, why would he work under Mike Ashley?

We've seen in the last year that the rules of common sense don't apply where NUFC is concerned, and those who run it. Nothing would surprise me anymore to be honest. I fear for a 'scorched earth' policy.....

Administration would be a worry for me, and I feel that Ashley wouldn't have 2nd thoughts about it during the summer, if it could be used to his advantage (ie getting shot of the club quicker)
