    SHEARER

Erm... you mean he has the sanity to stay away? Owt to have a dig at the bloke nowadays man. something in the middle is true imo, shearer won't risk his reputation imo until the time is right, different from not having the balls but not 1m miles away Venables turns it down and he's sensible for staying away from the mess. Shearer turns it down and he's got no balls. I hate these people who've got this idea in their head, that Shearer should still be committed to the Newcastle cause. As HTT said, he owes us fucking nothing - despite what some people will have you think (should have gone in 04, etc). He's not a member of Newcastle United as it stands (folklore, sure, but not today)... therefore he is merely another managerial candidate. If he doesn't want it then hats off. He doesn't have to prove his love for this club as far as i'm concerned. mackems.gif You agree with HTT.
  2. I'm sorry but how could you give Jonas 8? Yeah he ran well then ended up f***ing up the pass every single time. Its nice to see himskinning players but it never amounted to anything Thought he was great. Attacked with meaning, fully committed, up for the games, passing well, tackling great, our major threat. Just because we've got no shape, no quality around him and no game plan is not really his fault. Stick him in the Liverpool team on either wing and they'd be fuking amazing and we'd be thinking...wish we had him. Well deserved an 8, he carried them team because when he was in possession Sunderland weren't attacking and in the 1st half that was crucial or we'd had been 2 or 3 nil down come HT. Fair enough I did go a bit mental when he misplaced one of his passes at the end I guess that stuck with me What's annoying for me is that clearly our best attacking mid on the day was our best defensive mid. That pisses me off.

  4. This debate has happened because alot of Bolton fans think he has become overweight and unfit. Have they not seen Nolan play? Erm, yes, for a number of seasons. Still, I watched what you got for your money today. What do you think? Think he was very average, but better than Butt and although i haven't got to gripse with his ability in a tackle from that (because Nolan of old was an all rounder a while back, but i can accept he's not the player of once or Bolton wouldn't sell him) he can pass the ball in space, which is much better than what we've got currently. Sign of the times Nolan is a decent signing.
  5. Started off poor, but built up his confidence and showed character.
  6. So glad we didn't get beat, but i'm slightly disappointed we didn't take the game. 1st half i'd have settled for the draw, but the 2nd half was all us bar a couple of nervy expected moments nearer the end. Shame.

    Michael Chopra

Certainly will be bleeding something in training next week.
  8. Haha, it begins... Stick him on the right wing, certainly away from home. Let him take the corners and free kicks. Keeps Duff out the team. In fact i'd have Duff ahead of Shola upfront ATM.
  9. Dave's never been so right...total confidence player. Started well, couple of nice turns, good interceptions and he never looked back. He's like a forward in that respect.
  10. Taylor would have been pitch forked. Some won't get over Taylor winning us a penalty and keeping us from defeat while Colo caused it. No need for agendas. I don't think there was one Toon fan who wasn't cheering and applauding Tayls when he went down and the whistle blew. And on the same not Colo rightfully got slated for his 'off-side trap.' Fuk off with the agenda please, it doesn't dilute the facts. But I mentioned the facts. So did I.

  12. Looks alright there. Had some impressive moments bombing down the right and a bit through the centre for the NT u21's, right now not enough confidence or talent for CB duties.

  14. ALL of our players have been average all season. Stick Rio Ferdinand in our defence and he'd look average. Yet Bassong looks class. IS Bassong better than Ferdinand? mackems.gif The lengths some people will go to defend Colo are really staggering.
  15. So people keep saying. Yet Bassong has managed to look good. 5 times cheaper while years younger and far less experience at top flight.
  16. Colo is a liability. Put him in the DMC role and let him settle there. He hasn't got the strength or aerial ability to make it as a CB in the prem, and what i thought he'd be good at, decision making, anticipation he's failing big time, but i can put that down to two things, one he's not used to being this rushed, the other, the team around him and certainly whats in front of him. But as it stands, i do not feel confident with Colo there, he's just waiting to make a mistake time and time again.
  17. No. We need some creative force in midfield. To supply Ameobi and Carroll. ok. Yes. Aren't you clever. Yes i am, clearly you're a bit special.

  19. Harper - 6 Taylor - 6 Colo - 3.5 Bassong - 6.5 Enrique - 6.5 Nolan - 4.5 Butt - 3 Duff - 4 Jonas - 8 Ameobi - 5 Carroll - 5 JFK - 1 The game was there to win. Carroll with his injury should have come off 2-3mind after for Lovenkrads, a bit of pace was what we were crying out for. 2pts lost in the end, thanks JFK.
  20. Drinking now, cheers NUFC...ive got to go to work on 2 hours.
