It's on the record now. Actions please. Extremely good news that the club has gone from £34m a year loss, to £20m then next year £7m. In fact by the time Owen leaves us that loss will be nothing due to his wages gone. As said above, I bet they've already factored Owen leaving into those figures hence the huge drop. The thing is, does he mean that loss goes down in a linear fashion if we stand still? Standing still is going backwards in this league. Na, as explained above he couldn't do that. Simply asked 'Does that include Owen's contract' and he's then fuked up big time.

Got it spot on imo. Bunch of arrogant wankers doing more damage than good, hung up on the past and not looking to the future.

Owen will leave this year so thats probably included already I doubt he's include something like that in the figures because if asked he'd have to explain and he'd drop the club and Owen right in it. It makes no sense to include Owen in that.

He''s in my dream team. But i was never a massively deranged critic of him like some on here. £12m though, i still think we got a good deal, only we never spent the money, but lets not get in to that.

y f***ing hell. ou couldn't make it up could you? HTT & TT presumably think players should sign on for life with one club............. it used to be called slavery :shifty: No, but when a player deserts us he should expect grief. The grief equation: Club situation x player ability - transfer fee = Grief Relegation battle (+ winter window) x European class keeper - shitty measly transfer fee = SERIOUS AMOUNTS OF FUKING GRIEF!!!!

Sooner or later one of these Parky threads will happen. [universal Law/] Ameobi for England Toon for the Prem title in two years Sunderland to go bust Xisco to start a game Go for it!

If Given could have walked like KK with no contract problems he would have. Both as bad as each other. Rats and a sinking ship.
-
He's an arse when it comes to this. Got to be his biggest fault/trait considering how great a manager he is.
-
Would be great, but just like 4th place as Arsenal are looking a bit weak, this Parky thread isn't going to happen....

Brilliant design, well worthy of a winners place, and a massive improvement to the site. Class idea this competition was. Haha! Anyway, well done Junkhead, and well done to everyone who submitted a genuine image; the club may be doing shite, but at least its biggest forum is in fine form.

End of the day they made one horrible appointment last time, chances are they'll make it again. Pompy are in such a state now compared to when he took over, their best players gone, way down the league, an owner who wants out, and when they situation wasn't like that, they appointed Tony Adams. They can't go foreign, no decent manager would go near, best of British is Curbs, if its not him then its going to be another poor appointment imo.

Boro, Bolton & Blackburn for the reasons given. Shite fans, shite clubs, shite managers and shite players, shite football, but right now I don't think any Toon fan is in the position to comment on those areas (at least the last 4 anyway)

No idea who's going down atm, like! Can't say i'd fancy anyone from West Brom or Stoke like... Boro have got some really good players though i think. Infact, i think he's amassed what's arguably their best side in the Premiership to date, tbh. Mental how they're so far down. Didier Digard is what we're lacking. He'd be an absolute top target for me in the summer, assuming we've got some form of stability. Shit manager and shite players.
-
thank christ for that
-
In disbelief, well done lads, keep it up.
-
Shhhhh...you'll get wrong for saying that around here.

His betrayal finally sinking in for some.

What's the odds for SJP to come crashing down around itself tonight?

probably too late now. hughton would have been involved all week in the prep work, so sadly this is the most logical step. It is the most logical step because Hugton is the Assistant Manager. Thought he was officially 1st team coach? Not that it matters. Calderwood has just come through the doors so can't really shout above him, though its a bloody shame since Hughton is awful in the role he'll play today. I agree Houghton was awful last time in charge, but didn't we have bigger injury problems back then? and minus Lovenkrands, Nolan and R.Taylor? - may make some difference. Houghton would still have to perform far better than last time though! If we lose this game because Houghton turns it shit I'd be so depressed. This game is important. Think injuries are just about the same, last time the club was in shock, this time its coasting towards relegation, im not sure which is worse for him to deal with.

Just what we need, if we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all. Whatever anyone reckons of JFK he's a bloody sight better than Hughton, maybe Calderwood might take charge instead, with him having previous managerial experience? Get well soon, recover speedily but stay the fuk away from this job.

Bottom of the league WBA, if we can beat them we can't win an away game for the rest of the season. Vital win, no doubt about it, shame is, i can see us getting beat late on in the 2nd half.
-
Yep. Harper had a long spell in nets when Given was injured for ages, he was average to good, and in a better side than now, he wasn't considered then. Though i think at the time James was solid, gone to shit a bit again ATM.
-
Did he want his loyalty bonus as well? Fuck off Given you're as greedy a cunt as any who'll move for money.
