  1. If beIN's right to broadcast the PL were "non-exclusive" then the PL could easily agree a separate agreement with Saudi Arabia and beIN would have no legal standing (no ability to dispute the agreement). If beIN don't have exclusive rights to broadcast the PL into the MENA region then it means other the PL can agree broadcast rights with others to also broadcast in the MENA region.

Hmmmm... The helicopter flew down the length of Newcastle Airport's runway at 350ft and continued west. It then turned south-east and overflow St James Park, before doing a 180 degree turn and is now flying north-west. This is not a regular flight; this is a very big, very expensive helicopter doing some weird tourist type flight.

There's no way this is of any real interest, but just because it tickles a particular NUFC fantasy... TF-AAL from Beijing turning south, west of Darlington, and descending. https://www.flightradar24.com/ABD2514/24c27f5f https://www.radarbox.com/flight/CC2514 Departed: Beijing Owner: Saudia (operated by Air Atlantic Icelandic)

  15. Surely.... surely, there is no way this would be happening unless the takeover was on?!?!?

Aircraft headed towards Saudi Arabia. Aircraft Type: Canadair CL-600 Challenger https://www.flightradar24.com/CL60/24bdb715 Registration: M-ASHI https://www.radarbox.com/@38.38440,23.85491,z8 Departed: London Luton Airport Currently: South of Greece Owner: Beckett Holding Ltd https://www.planelogger.com/Aircraft/Registration/M-ASHI/544722 Notes: - Aircraft currently for sale. https://www.avbuyer.com/aircraft/private-jets/bombardier-challenger/605/357938 - I can't identify any details of a company named "Beckett Holding Ltd" There are some companies with similar names on Companies House, but they were incorporated after this aircraft commenced ownership by its only owner (ownership from 2011; similar named companies registered during or after 2017).
  17. If the new owners and authorities are worried about the prospect of thousands converging on St James' Park then I think they'd announce the takeover via a tweet from @PIF_en, late in the 1st half of a match. By announcing during the 1st half of a match they can be assured that NUFC supporters are (almost) all, likely, already inside in front of a television watching the game and that fewer of the supporters will rush to the ground because they have to watch the game first. This means the police would have time to erect barriers on surrounding roads to keep fans from congregating at the ground. Whilst NUFC fans will undoubtedly pour into the streets as a result of the announcement, the health authorities will be keen to prevent them from gathering into large groups. So keeping them away from the ground would be the mission. Just a theory.
  18. Speaking purely hypothetically here.... If the takeover by KSA goes through and a journalist has been strongly supporting and/or parroting the messaging of Qatar, then there is a high probability of that journalist finding themselves frozen out of the club. They may find they have bet on the wrong horse and now there is a price to pay for that decision. Consequently, if they believe that the takeover has been approved, they may start trying to walk things back along the lines of "I'm just a journalist, I only report what I am told" in an attempt to convince the new owner that it wasn't their fault. It's the journalistic equivalent of "I was just following orders."
  19. Has FFP been relaxed, I know it was being talked about a few weeks back. Now watch the PL approve the takeover, with conditions that include: - requirements to prevent & prosecute piracy within Saudi Arabie; and - a limit on NUFC recruitment spending for the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.
