You can choose your nationality as long as you have never played an A-International (In a qualifier, friendlies do not count) match for one of your eligible nationalities iirc. Surely a officially sanctioned event like Euro under 21's would count though? Just seems mad to be able to switch after it. Knew all about the friendly bit. Pretty sure it's only senior 'A team' matches.
