  1. It'll be interesting. If Keane walks in there and gives them 'You're all feckin shoit' like the big-headed, arrogant bastard he is, I wonder if the players will stop working for him.
  2. Truly, a hotbed of football.
  3. You have nailed your colours to the mast. I hope you're proved wrong.
  4. Yet for their 3rd goal, Babel totally skinned Nicky Butt, who is far too overated by most and a key factor in what is going wrong. Reliance on cloggers like him is a recipe for disaster! Why single Butt out? He's not a KEY factor in what is going wrong at all. I'd much rather have him in the team than Emre, Smith or Geremi at the moment. Simple. Because he loses possession far too often, picks up a yellow card and risks the red card too easily. I do not want Smith in the team either btw, but Geremi and Emre at least can pass the ball. No offence, but did you see how shit he was today, or any time he's played in the last 2 months? I saw it. He wasn't great, but he was not as bad as Nicky Butt. He should have got forward more, but was too reluctant to do so. Nicky Butt on the other hand, or should I say "Golden Boy Butt", was even worse especially for conceding possession and has been consistently all season. I'm surprised so few others can see it tbh. I thought Butt did alright, considering the lack of any sort of team around him. Agree.
  5. Geremi is much more culpable than Butt in our terrible form this season, imo.
  6. i'm suggesting he, and whoever is with him, turn up with smith on the back of his shirt every week, is it any coincidence that allardyce shoe horns him into any formation he can? i dont know Allardyce is the one who convinced the chairman to part with substantial money for him. It's in Sam's own interests that Alan Smith plays and performs well as he is a major Allardyce signing.
  7. Can't fault anything Big Sam says there, tbh. Just hope we can do it.
  8. Give over. Unless you're suggesting Ashley picks the team?
  9. Southgate's out, blatantly.
  10. Todays substitutions are possibly the most baffling I've ever seen. We were getting beat and not a single substitution was going to change anything, bringing on Carr is possibly my low point of the season but the others were almost as bad. We were getting totally outplayed and went like for like when our game was crying out for something different, that isn't what I expect to see from somebody who is supposed to be tactically aware.. I agree, Carr is a fuckin shite RB so SA bring him on as a LB. I just cant understand his thinking behind the subs. The Carr one was the only understandable one. Last two home games Enrique has looked like a liability. He's still far too casual with the ball Tbf, he was getting bummed by Babel, but we'd already lost. The whole thing was futile.
  11. This is what I think. We have to keep him unless we're in true danger of getting relegated. I have nailed my colours to the mast, and they are the colours of Big Sam.
  12. Assuming we're not in the relegation zone, do we keep Big Sam for the duration of the season? Your response will be recorded for posterity. Think on.
  13. That's what I was thinking today. Under SBR, we'd probably have been just as flaky at the back, but we'd be asking their defence questions as well. We did not play like the home team today, and not for the first time.
  14. Just realised: BS took off 3 left footers and replaced them with right-footers.
  15. Barton for Emre wouldn't have been so bad as part of a double substitution. Emre had played midweek and wasn't really doing much, tbh.
  16. Of course it was. Maybe he was trying to shoehorn Smith into the team for some fucking reason.
  17. I've resigned myself to giving him the rest of the season. Unless we're in relegation trouble we've got to, havent we?
