Yet again, you're assuming that because we spent on Duff we didn't have money for defenders. Sounds like bollocks, imo, whe you consider the reports that we'd put in a hefty bid for Huth.
-
But you're assuming the reason we're fucked in terms of personnel is BECAUSE we signed Duff, not because our chairman is a fuckwit.
-
I don't see why people are complaining about the Duff signing. He's a very good player at a very good price. And we didn't sign him at the expense of a defender, Roeder himself was convinced--I'm sure--that Huth or Woodgate, or both, was in the bag.

It's a report by Niall rather than Biffa. Never as insightful, imo, plus lots more personal bias.

Keep your chin up, mate. All you have to do is mutter 'Milner' under you breath every now and then.

Christ allfucking mighty. If Martins comes good then every knobhead who wrote him off on this board should be thrown off a fucking cliff.
-
Some of my favourite bets in past years were in the early stages of the UEFA qualifiers. Huge accumulators picking all the big teams up against utter rubbish. Good fun, even if it didn't always come off.

I hate Cahill almost as much as I hate Hitler.

Worse than Steve Harper, tbh.

Don't know why I found this so funny.

Can't say I've followed his career, as he's a nothing player, but I always thought he was an attacking midfielder. People are talking about his height, but if they're expecting him to fight centre-halves and hold the ball up for Martins then they're mistaken. I don't see what on earth he could bring to the team. Utterly pointless signing. If Freddy wants to boost the numbers he should bring in Scaloni who is out of contract and will challenge Carr for his position. I can just imagine Freddy calling his friend Willie McKay late last night: "Willie, I'm in a spot of bother here, what have you got for me? I'll make it worth your while". It is no coincidence that in the last 24 hours we have signed two Willie McKay players, the same agent who oversaw the Faye and Boumsong deals. Imo, this is almost exactly what happened.

Christ. We've got a blind man for a manager.

Why don't you think Luque --- Rossi Nzogbia/Duff--------------------emre----------Parker----------Pattison Babayaro------------------Bramble------------Ramage-------------Solano --------------------------------Given Can do enough to get us at the very least midtable ? If they can't then it's definatly the players fault as they are all of a good enough quality and have played enough Premiership football (bar 1) to get us there. How about the changes I've made above. Have you heard of injuries? bluebigrazz.gif No room for our last-minute star signing?
-
This will sound completely wrong, but you'd better not be fucking joking. He's not joking, but it wasn't caused by our signing Sibierski.
-
Does anyone know what this cunt looks like? I want to know so if I see him on the street I can go over and shake him by the hand... ... while headbutting him in the face.
-
Aahahahahahahahah! I laughed my fucking head off at this.
-
Maybe we're unveiling our signings in ascending order. We started with the crappest and we'll finish with Ronaldinho.
-
It's not just West Ham. Look at Spurs: they've kicked our arse off the pitch in the last two seasons. They've got an excellent management structure in place and a transfer policy that seems to be reaping rewards. Their squad looks very good. I'l not even bother mentioning Liverpool.
-
The way we're piling crosses into the box at the minute, I can't really think of a better alternative for the price. Yes, he is a fat, Aussie bastard but he know where the net is.
-
I don't understand, I can't possibly comprehend, how Souness' statement about now having a 'proper' left-sided player matches up to Luque. Did he actually see this lad play? If he thought Robert was half-arsed then what did he see in this idiot? He's even less motivated and has, from what we've seen so far, about a tenth of his quality.
-
OK. The main difference between Robert and Luque: Robert wasn't utterly shite. He could change a game in the blink of an eye; the only way Luque changes a game when he comes on is by making us EVEN WORSE!
-
Sorry, lads, but I can't really see the similarity with Robert. Once Robert was on the ball you got excited, he could make things happen and put in great crosses from anywhere down the line. He was petulant and arrogant. Luque's just timid and you don't really care whether he's on the pitch or not. Robert had moments of absolute genius.
-
I remember one where he let the ball drop over his shoulder and couldn't bring it down. But it'd be harsh to criticise that. He general touch on the ball was excellent, imo.
