    Arghhhhh, no! The club (NUFC) do not get paid anything directly relating to the advertisements, they have cos around 42k to put in place. NUFC covered this cost £42k was paid in 2008 and 2009. Are you sure these are signage costs? The same figure, two years running... Maybe, it's fairly negligible though in the big scheme of things. A weeks wage for one of our top earners?

Cant be legal to do something like that or ? Why? That's probably about right for what the signs etc. cost, it's a legitimate expense

    Tacky shit agreed, no big deal for me though - the players are still there, the stadiums still there and we will fill it - that's what the club is about, not the advertising

    I've thought this too, but TBF Ashley hasn't been shy of plastering the SD logo over everything else. They make something like 5m a season from Northern Rock, Sports Direct on the shirts would be wooden dollars so I can't see it
