Nine days ago, Obafemi Martins was telephoned by his sisters in Lagos with the news that their mother had died suddenly. “She was everything to me,” the striker said yesterday. Alhaja Monsurat Martins, 62, is reported to have died of shock when a petrol tanker burst into flames near her apartment. Given compassionate leave by his club, Martins flew to his native Nigeria for the funeral. Proven Premiership strike force (with 60 odd goals between them) out - relatively unproven replacements, I'm not sure their season is going to be as rosy as they all seem to think!

£800. I fancy on of the premium tickets; prefer comfortable seats at half time; I'm 30 this year! Anyway, of all the bars (premium seats); which area is considered the best? I've been in most of them and to be honest I'd prefer the Platinum Club but it's not available, bearing in mind the £100+ premium for the other bars when considering the £800 cost of the Leazes Bar, I reckon thats going to be my best option?
