what i love about the athletic (not on the content) is that you have a genuine dialogue with the writers. I have had a chance to interact with Waugh and Caulkin multiple times and do really enjoy that back & forth with them.

James Maddison was unproven in the PL and a good championship player as well and look at him now.

Calvert Lewin seems to have a field day against us each time we play them, but I can’t stand him. From the tackle on Krafth to elbowing Jamaal. He’s just a grade-a asshole who plays with some chip on his shoulder like he’s just top class.

He looked good in first match but shouldn’t have been playing so many in a row. He was knackered against Leicester and probably played the worst match of his career. But when he’s on, he does look a top player. Read and listened a bunch to the analysis of him and all of it is about his football brain and ability on and off the ball. That while Schar pings balls about with ease, Lejeune is actually the true best on the ball and of it with reading of game etc

again at the end of the day, i really do hate the way the club is run - owned - etc. i don't like our manager either. but i won't ever fault the players who seemingly are not giving up, they are playing with pride, as limited as they are, they continue to grind out the oddest of results out of sheer determination and will. i CAN get on board with that, I will always have time in my life for honest professionals who are playing for not only their own pride but for us long suffering fans.
