-
Tiote best play in years
-
Cabs is slow as fuck
-
Willo can at least head the ball

Right after 2nd half began. Little chip over Howard, hit the inside of the post. Oh fack
-
When did Gouff hit the post? Sorry missed that....only caught this right after Cabaye scored.
-
Tiote off, Cisse on should be next.
-
Sack AP ffs. Disgraceful defending and Krul deserves some stick too for his waffling the fuck about.
-
Hopefully we'll not need him to score to win us the game and we'll do the business without needing him, BUT if it comes down to that - I hope he comes off the bench angry as fuck and plays like the Cisse who first joined us - confident as fuck...so yeah, I'm with you man

Which is why you don't put Gouffran out wide, like you just suggested. what's the alternative, put Gouff in the middle and you dont get the finishing. Aye because Remy LW and Ben Arfa RW haven't finished a thing in the last 2 league games. It's the better decision - they have the pace and the trickery to cause problems. Remy and Gouffran will no doubt be interchanging and I'm sure you'll see Gouffran really floating about as he's quite an intelligent player.

I'm really excited for this match now. Lets get at these fuckers (no offense Neil)

Which is why you don't put Gouffran out wide, like you just suggested. This is a match that in theory, Cabaye out, so put in Marv but of course we know he's not up to it. Which is a shame, such talent in that player. I like the lineup, I hope Gouff is played centrally from the off and am perfectly happy with the front 3 interchanging.

A question for the more tactically astute - but if we had a keeper with not as good shot stopping but better distribution -- how drastically would our results change? I seem to feel like it wouldn't do a single thing: 1) we'd possibly let in say, for example, 1 more goal. 2) a keeper's better distribution would lead to more frequent chances to score, so that's a positive, but that still doesn't guarantee we'll be a better team. Right?

Every team I support tends to have this "we COULD be..." and generally all have some sort of bad/negative press connotation be it the owners, coach/manager, fans, etc. Its sort of fitting. I'm sure you could do a study on people's personalities based on the sport teams they support (and more so on folks like myself who are not Geordies yet have done enough reading, research, and following as much as humanly possible these days...). Not a day goes by I don't check these boards, read articles, check the twitter feed(s).... the days are ruined when we lose, and the days are pure joy when we win - this club is on the exact same level as my Tampa Bay Buccaneers (home town NFL team) and It'll always be this way for me. I guess to a greater extent this board, N-O, probably is the main contributing factor as to why I love this club so much -- people ask why NUFC, I can tell them millions of reasons...players past and present, certain results, certain performances or goals - but can't ever really explain how awesome this board is and how great it is to have it when you are all the way in Florida supporting this team every single day.

Wow, I didn't even remember posting this. Me, negative? Ridiculous - I must have been on some weird mood then, I'm incredibly f***ing positive I've said it before and I'll say it again - as much as I want him to be scoring for fun in the World Cup - he only means something to me when he's wearing the USA shirt. Other than that, he's just another Mackem player I despise. If I'm speaking selfishly (and totally hypothetically), I'd love for him to put in 20 goals for Sunderland, with Sunderland losing every single one of those matches and for him to have a mare or not even play against us. That's me sorted, he'll get a move elsewhere, he'll be in good form for the national setup and Sunderland will still lose.
