I think people exaggerate how easy it is to not be playing and suddenly come into a game and 'take your chance' Situations like Leeds he should be running the show or putting 2-3 killer passes that we all go mad about that weren't finished or were finished into the back of the net. Cabaye can't run onto any advanced passes into space as he's not quick enough nor does he have a good enough touch or dribbling ability to create a bit of space and get a pass or shot off.

So he can't sign until Jan? Right? If we go back in for him?
-
Fair enough on the free role suggestion. The real reason for the post is that Sylv has all the tools to be the ACM for us every week and it's a shame he doesn't grab his chances b/c he's an excellent talent.
-
Immensely talented player that should see more pitch time -- if that mean he plays at the tip of a 3 man midfield when Cabaye is hurt/out, I'm all for it. If we had a manager who had the brain to instill free-role type positions for him and HBA supporting Remy, I'm all for it. I'd honestly love for him to influence matches more and displace Cabaye as I think he's much more suited to an advanced midfield position - he's got a killer pass, excellent dribbling skills and a great left footed strike. Unfortunately he's shown less consistency and is less reliable tracking back.

Yup and they still have to be dragged there even with "The Greatest Team of All Time". Half the crowd doesn't get there until the first quarter is nearly over and then they leave early when they're winning (and losing in the finals). Horrible place to put a team. The MLS had been getting all of the decisions right lately until the 2nd NY team and this. Yup. The Dolphins will fill up now that they are 3-0 and when/if the season turns for worse it will be empty again. The Marlins have an awful following too. The UM Hurricanes football team are the only well supported team with consistent fan base but my god those are some awful people.

This your fantasy lineup man? Ain't a fucking chance in hell this happens.

So can anyone just do a quick tactic run down of Poyet and Di Matteo? Just curious. Since one article has him linked I'm now curious his style of football (or lack thereof)
-
Gouffran seems to be getting his shots off better as well, he always seemed a split second too late which ended up with a block.
-
He is a strong lad for his size, like. Knows how to use his body too. Far better than Cisse out of the box, that's not even really up for debate. I'm starting to wonder if Pardew had ANY input in the Cisse signing. He offers so little apart from shooting on sight. Would Pardew really have looked at him and thought he could use him as a central point of attack? I don't think anyone could have predicted how shocking he is in every department apart from shooting on sight tbh.

Miami is literally one of the worst sport supporting cities out there. The only reason the Heat get any fandom is b/c they won something and its cool to go to a Heat game. When Wade and LeBron go away one day, the team will go back to filling 50% of the seats and be an after-thought.

Vs. Hull - Gouffran's link up play with Remy was 1,000x better than Cisse's and something we haven't seen for ages. Remy was leaving the ball and bombing forward and Gouffran was trying to pick him out first time in on goal. I really think we could be a much better team utilizing Gouffran's intelligence and general all-around play vs. that of Cisse's. Gouff's better pace would have had him getting to balls Cisse has missed out on in the box as well.

Made me laugh. He looks a loose cannon too.
-
I hate that this is on a Monday man.
-
wow, Man City (H) come on man!
-
I'm with this line up. But I'd push Ben Arfa and Remy up more to a 4-3-3 but I assume that is what you are doing.

Seriously, its mad that we get every single premier league match here on the NBC Live Extra App or the Premier League Extra Time Over-flow channels on our respective cable/sat providers. Wish the same coverage was around for all league and FA cup matches
-
It's more the idea that we are still stuck with AP. And he's a manager who isn't AP. So therefore I think we are at least 12 points better with anyone else in charge atm.
-
I'd be jealous as fuck with that appointment.
-
Mainly because the knacker job in charge changed the formation when he did so. Marveaux should've replaced him. Yep should have been Marv for Cabaye and everything should have remained.
-
Can't wait for the day this thread title changes and it has the words Confirmed, NUFC and Sacked and this bastard is gone.
-
If HBA goes on one of those runs Debuchy needs to sit back and hold his position unless we're in a position where he can overlap and attack right? Alternatively, that's why I've always been Pro-MYM next to him for the sheer fact that the man has pace to close space down should we be caught-out. It just doesn't help that when we're caught out its nearer to our goal and we haven't been able to clear.
-
Speaking on footballing terms, I absolutely loved the few attempts at creative link-up between he and Gouffran. They look infinitely more intelligent playing together with dummys and what not. I know not all of them came off and Gouff didn't make much an impact, but it was promising.
-
I'd probably put Taylor back in there with Colo. Mapou's been pretty good, though, so he'd stay in the team too at Debuchy's expense. My only hesitation would be to break-up the MYM-Colo partnership. But we really don't have much choice, as MYM is probably a better option at RB than Santon or Dummett. Has he played RB for us? A handful of times. He wasn't impressive, iirc. Seems to be a bogey position for us at the moment. I thought the few times MYM played RB he looked good there. He had pace, he was good at getting forward on the overlap and he hit the best cross I've seen from one of our backs in ages when he played that ball to Cisse in the Europa League (not sure if the bastard was offside or it counted, mind you, probably offside...one of the many close calls). MYM - Saylor - Colo - Santon Santon - MYM - Colo - Dummett Are really the only 2 ways I want to go with this.
-
Personally, I wish Santon would look comfortable playing RB and we could get Dummett developing into our starting LB.

There is no reason to bring Tiote back. The change needs to be our right back and Anita is wasted there and needs to start centrally in midfield.
