  1. If we had quality replacements in before we sold him - maybe aye. But to Saudi or another foreign club. Not a PL rival. And in 2025 at the earliest for whatever the big fees are of that time.
  2. Lots of pages on Bruno G and I can’t tell what the discussion point is. Are there rumours of a release clause?
  3. If a term wasn’t popular in 97, NO will ridicule it.
  4. Oh that's 100% happening. The timing just after the Xmas rush guarantees it. Our reserve side is pretty good these days mind assuming most of the team is fit. If it was soon we would line up something like: Dubs, Livra, Lascelles, Burn, Targett, Anderson, Longstaff, Hall, Murphy, Wilson, Barnes
  5. Pepe wasn't rated like THAT and i'm sure his wages aren't astronomical either. Lukaku Chelsea, Sancho certainly up there. Old school Shevchenko is up there. Maguire isn't close. He had a couple of good seasons at least. Havertz again not close. Kepa put in a decent shift last season.
  6. Small chance imo. Carabao - second string entirely. FA Cup 3rd round too. For CL to PL. He plays the strongest team available both games. Except where he thinks it's close between players for the same spot. So assuming 433 - he might start Wilson in the CL and Isak for the league or vice-versa. Longstaff may get a start. He doesn't rotate much for tactical reasons with the exception of LW. It'll be interesting how he deals with Saturday to Tuesday games.
  7. Wor Callum keeping himself fresh for the Champions League
  8. Not arguing that. But someone is briefing the media that his team mates don’t support him and he’s not popular in the dressing room. it’s all very messy and public. Only incentive to do that is to force the lad out. And clearly neither ETH or the club is still protecting him. I’ve been a massive critic of Sancho from day one. I don’t like his on pitch demeanour and his game lacks intensity. But I do feel bad for him in this moment. Not thE ETH training thing. That’s a spade. But everything else around it.
  9. Man U are trying to bully Sancho out of the club. Lots of "leaks" about him. He's got 2+ years on his mega contract and he should take him every penny owed.
  10. The spending money thing is stupid. Spending lots of money and not getting results is terrible leadership and management.
  11. Should aim to be our second top PL goalscorer but the time he leaves. Was about 17 off Shola last time I looked.
  12. Mate that’s now how tv shows work. We are fans and most of us don’t love it. Why would a neutral love it?
  13. I don’t blame Howe for Anderson’s development. Anderson should’ve been loaned out last season but Shelvey was injured and then sold without replacement so we kept Anderson has backup. Ideal world we sign 2 midfielders this season and Anderson goes on loan somewhere like Luton and plays regularly. But again too many games, not enough numbers. Miley is what 17? He doesn’t necessarily need to play adult pro football regularly. He needs to baseline his professionalism. Next season both really need to be regulars somewhere for their own development.
  14. It’s a tv show. Tv shows come with expectations.
  15. Sancho won't go. He does need a move (loan) though. I feel sorry for the kid. We aren't setup for a player like him. He's a Serie A / La Liga type player. Less intensity suits him - he's technical.
  16. But I agree. It’s rare and semi good on him.
  17. He needs to get his career back on track and probably views Barca as a great vehicle to do that. And the alternative is wasting away at Atletico. Or Saudi. If things go well - he permanently moves there with all the monies. Strike another lever or 2. Taking short money to earn more down the line.
  18. They’ll have to hold him hostage. They won’t make the £100m back and the contract is longer than hell. But Joao Felix has earned 10’s of millions at Atletico already. He can cope for a year.
  19. Aye the "All Or Nothing" has a lot of dressing room footage. A lot of time with the manager. Some candid scenes like "hey Daniel, can I talk to you please? Are AC Milan in for me?" Ends up at Watford.
  20. Aye i've only watched 2 eps - not in a rush to watch the 3rd. There's not the level of detail as the other docs.
  21. Those guys haven’t missed so far. I hope PIF give them leeway. I expect them too as well. I think the summer will show its value in the years to come. Even with some of the U18s signings. We’re building. This season always had the potential to be a little sticky.
  22. And also. Qualifying has become easy. What tournament did England fail to qualify for? Euro 2008? That Croatia game was a moment. As was the beckham equaliser. Or the 5–1 in Germany. But these days the jeopardy is gone.
  23. There’s so much football and football content (I also play FPL) that I take international football as a bit of a football break outside of major tournaments. Like I might watch a qualifier if it’s on. But I’d rather let my wife watch whatever because I know I’ll want to watch 2-4 league games the next weekend. I don’t have the energy for it.
  24. Yeh it's a good article. If our intensity is off, everything is off.
  25. It’s not helpful for us. But It is what it is.
