Every game is the same. It's what we do, surrender possession so we can try and not get beat. Funny that, we beat West Ham just the other week with 35% possession whilst apparently 'trying not to get beat' That's what we do. We go out to not get beat and if we score then brilliant. We never go out to try and take it to a team. I will never warm to this kind of football like, always detested the "not get beat" style. Just takes any kind of enjoyment out of the game of football. Completely agree and this approach is down to no one else but the manager to me......But again the untouchable one can not be questioned by anyone for fear of them being labeled an idiot May just be me, but I find this approach to everything almost as embarrassing as those who think Rafa can do no wrong? Yes this football isn't great and something needs to change here, for me that isn't the manager. We need to get this takeover business sorted if it's you g to happen at all. That's literally the only shred of hope I have. Rafa needs to be lambasted for initiating this approach to a game that is at home to a team we must take points from....a draw is as good as a loss to me Where on earth are we going to get points form if he insists we play this dire turgid way

We were linked with Cenc Tosun over two months ago in one of the Sunday rags, now he's supposedly heading for Everton. It could be that Slimani was our no 1 target all along, and that is why we've not pursued Tosun. Andy did have a remarkable 6 months with us before he was sold admittedly. However, Dean Holdsworth once had a good season as well. People would be riving the heed off it if they thought Andy was coming back while in reality we have something very similar not even warming the bench. Would rather have Dean Holdsworth than Mirovic. Palace have spent more than double that on one player alone It shows how far we have fallen behind in the transfer market and how we have been scrabbling around in the bargain basement for years. f*** off would you rather us lose 10-0 trying. That could send us down. Fuck off, I would, because to me playing football is about competing. I can accept any loss by any margin if we try, but we have not tried at all. It was embarrassing, a non league side wouldn’t sit 11 men behind the ball and literally have a handful of touches on the ball. We are Newcastle United at home and we should never ever play this way regardless of who we are playing or how shit we are. They are a great team, but they are not 11 tucking superman’s.
