Ramos has more ability on the ball. He's played there a fair few times. Scored a good amount of goals in that position towards the end of last season too. Ramos is horrible in the middle. For the same reason Luiz is, neither of them have no idea where they are supposed to be. Out of position all the time. Luiz is fine as long as you pair him with a real DM who will sit responsibly and let him run around wildly for 90 minutes. Better than Ramos, imo, anyway. Fine result for Madrid. They've gone into a charged atmosphere against a top side and emerged with a situation where a simple 1-0 victory sends them to a final. Couldn't you say the same with Ramos though? Only reason Ancelotti is playing him is that he becomes a threat from crosses when he attacks from deep. Lucas Silva and Illarra are better than Ramos. James is the man. He tried a couple of shots but since he can't shoot for s*** it's just a waste of possession. Yes he runs around and gets stuck in but to what purpose? Well, I'd rather have him in there than 90% of the players, only one who seemed to give a s***. Surrounded by bunch of cowards unfortunately. In terms of footballing ability he probably shouldn't be there. But he definitely should be playing in this relegation battle as we'll need someone to give us some sort of effort if we don't want to go down. I would have Cabella and Abeid in place of Jonas and Taylor. Both can do their respective roles better than either Jonas or Taylor. I thought both were injured? OR why the f*** weren't they on the pitch today? Haven't really followed us at all tbf. They were on the bench. Carver
