  1. Had no idea Adryan had signed for Leeds back in August. Might get his first game for them this week.
  2. Adriano negotiating with Le Havre in the french second division according to Brazilian media. Why do these clubs persist on trying to sign him, he'll sign, get a nice sign-on fee and then never show up and have his contract rescinded.
  3. Zico, Peter Reid, Materazzi are some of the coaches. Sounds like a fun league to watch as it only runs October to December. Materazzi's team has Elano, Silvestre (playing as a DM thought he must be 50 by now as well) and old Hull City player Bernard Mendy
  4. Garrincha has to be in there, surely. Being completely honest, then yes, Neymar ain't even top 20. Needs a World Cup gold before that, but looks likelier and likelier that he might beat Pele's record, although 58 games for national team at 22 years of age is an absurd amount.
  5. Best performance I can remember from him. Did he score a brace or a hattrick that day?
  6. To be honest, he didn't win shit so wasn't a real Brazilian retire mentality. His decline happened when his dad passed away. He lost the plot and started drinking and partying constantly. It's extremely sad to see how fast he fell.
  7. We all thought that Unfortunately, the football federation is corrupt from the absolute top to bottom meaning the man we brought in to make these super changes they promised is Gilmar Rinaldi who the last 10 years or so has been a player agent and who with his first appointment brought back his long-time friend Dunga to manage it. Dunga is an intelligent man though so I do expect him to make a good job. The style of play has already changed a bit, we don't have fixed positions up top so we have four players inter-changing all the time, and we haven't been bad under him winning all our three friendlies against SA opposition. It's not good on the eyes, but until we develop these players we can't be playing the most beautiful football either. Only Neymar is capable of that at the moment.
  8. http://www.ole.com.ar/seleccion/apoyo-Seleccion-Jonas_OLEIMA20141011_0066_5.jpg before the game today against Brazil.
  9. We do have some, but the u-21 are playing friendlies in preparation for the Olympics (where we'll fail again) so we're almost not calling any youngsters up. (they'll have to really impress there). Think Dunga calling the elders up is to show that unless you play at a really high level you won't get a chance.
  10. Not a number 9 in that sense either. Played really well today in terms of movements and everything. Oscar is the worst offensive player once again. Wonder when he'll show us the type of performance he had against Croatia again.
  11. He'd probably be able to get one if he lost 30kg. We really don't have a #9.
  12. Harsh on Dunga, his team isn't enjoyable at all (look today for this) but except a bad half against the Netherlands his team rarely failed in the four years he managed the team winning everything. Kaka on the other hand is just there because I think they're pressing the youngsters to shine, because he was only called up because of injury as a last minute thing.
  13. I don't think it's a real ref There's no way, he's allowed so much and hasn't blown a whistle right all game. Expecting someone to bum him and him to just accept it
  14. It's f***ing ridiculous there. I had to wear a face mask in Beijing, and you could barely see the sun in mid afternoon because of all the s*** in the air. Horrible f***ing place Didn't see the sky for the 3-4 days I stayed in Beijing. Horrible place. Guangzhou from the top of Baiyun mountain. There's a city in there somewhere. http://i.imgur.com/88MfzYo.jpg That's not too bad tbf. Sao Paulo, Mexico City are all like that, if that's early morning. Beijing was on a whole other level. Was smoggy 24h four 4 days. Couldn't see the building 200metres in front. Just a terrible experience.

  16. Are you taking the p*ss? As if he isn't
  17. I don't think he's better than Tiote, Anita or Sissoko, not sure about Colback. But it's not an enjoyable debate! He is better than all of them. Watch him for Nigeria, different player.
  18. How were the achievements of Guardiola this past season 11 places ahead of Ancelotti's who won the CL and CDR? No one is debating that, he just said that it's not laughable that Simeone is ahead of them based on last season.
  19. The Xavi/Lampard thing isn't a discussion. Xavi / Zidane is an interesting one. Zidane only pips it because he seems like a leader. Xavi plays too deep to directly compare. The only comparable player to Zidane in this generation is Iniesta due to position/elegance/skill/class etc.. and Iniesta has been a better, more consistent player. Iniesta in his prime is/was a beautiful player to watch no doubt. But imo Iniesta could never single handedly take over a game and win it. Obviously probably down to playing in a team full of excellent players and never really had the need to do it, but just can't see Iniesta take over games like Zidane used to do.
  20. Was excellent in the 2008 euros. Wouldn't have cheered for Spain that year if I knew you'd guys go on to win everything the next 4 years
  21. Nah when he 15 man. I agree with you though, I'm just saying that you can't say he has more ties to Spain than Brazil. He has dual-citizen and it's his choice. I'm just jealous
  22. He's lived here since he was 4, though. He certainly has more ties to Spain than to Brazil FFS. What? His parents are Brazilian. Anyways, was just taking the piss as the players choose where they play, but you can't say he has more ties to Spain than Brazil. His whole family is Brazilian. That's the biggest ties you can have to a country imo at least. You're aware of before playing Barcelona he lived and played for Flamengo for 5 years or something.
