That's fair enough, it was a bit like Mole said, if you had to pick a player over many years I'd probably pick CRonaldo, but if it was for the most important game I'd pick Zidane 10 out of 10 times and that's what makes a legend in my opinion. He just has that ability to turn it up a notch when it was needed. I think he needed that motivation to perform.

Santoon, I don't want to be that guy, but you're talking out of your arse right now. Technically he was superior to most players during his generation if not all, his close control, individual creativeness, intelligence and movement on the pitch was out of this world. Problem with the guy was clearly that he was more interested in parties and just playing matches than training to be the absolute best. Think VI could confirm that he barely showed up to trainings at Barcelona and most clubs he played for.

Nah, no way. Ronaldinho had a two year peak at the absolute best man, Zidane had far more consistency than that. Ronaldinho did put Barcelona back on the map after a few years of decline and was a foundation to the winning sides after him, but as a player Zidane was better and had a better career as well. Understand what you mean but Romario is in the real top tier though, top player in the early to mid 90s. Him and Roberto Baggio are the two best player of that generation as I consider Maradona more of a 80s player than a 90s player where he got into loads of trouble. Romario was far more than goals, in terms of talents few players reached his, unfortunately he was content being the best during his time than have ambitions to be the best of all times.

Yet both won the equal amount of league and CL titles in the equal amount of years at Real. I think Zidane made other around him better and would therefore rather build a team around him. I'm also one of those that rate the WC as the best competition to win so my opinion is maybe not entirely reflective of their club careers. Messi over the years is more successful and better than CRonaldo man. Not even close in my opinion. It's not until Messi started getting injuries here and there that Ronaldo got close to him and over-lapped him in terms of the best in the world.

Considering you're going to a derby and will be watching it live, although a smaller derby than the other Rio matches I expect you to enjoy it. At the end of the day most of them are still around NUFC level under Pardew.

Zidane was better. He was.

Only two interesting teams I've watched, granted I rarely watch Brazilian league football because individually you'll find good players but the teams lack discipline and tactics. Except a few of them.

Checked his wiki. A year and a bit more between playing for Wycombe Wanderers and us. That explains it all.

He's by far the best 15-year old I've ever seen. He's a #10, but can probably play anywhere in attack. He's got a sweet left peg, excellent control, pace, vision, the lot. He's already won his first cap for Norway and I expect him to feature heavily in the EC qualifiers. He seems a very humble kid as well. If he can keep the attitude right can become an absolute star. I think Barca is a very decent choice for him. Just hope he stays away from England. I can't remember having watched a 15 year old play before at professional level if I'm being honest. I wonder if you're going to say he's the best 17 year old you've seen in 2 years time.

59 and lost my head-to-head. 5-0-2 now. Guy had 71p ffs. Mistake not having Di Maria as a captain. Adebayor or Lukaku are gone next round.

Save it for the forum awards

It's unbelievable. I just don't get it, it's so fucking obvious.

This fucking ref in the Juve match man. No penalty first of all on Maicon and then he gives Totti a yellow for celebrating with the Roma fans from the pitch. Bullshit. Lost the plot completely. Interesting game though. MBiwa looks like exactly the player we miss in the league also

Him and Adebayor man. Need at least a goal from one of them.

Great as all my fantasy leaguers have Baines

I was impressed by him at the World Cup tbh. Looked twice the player than Janmaat, not seen enough to judge him though especially playing in midfield. Looks decent enough but nothing special.

They barely beat Iran, Nigeria, Switzerland and Belgium with both so what says they'd have beaten Germany. What says they WOULD have won against Germany? A bit like saying Brazil would have won the whole thing with Neymar, which they wouldn't. Best team won the World Cup. No one knows but they had more than enough chances to beat Germany without Di Maria. I understand the thought process but they have no one to blame but themselves. I was just saying that in the end over seven games the best team won. Saying they'd won with a guy that was a shadow of himself at Madrid for large parts of the WC is bullshit. They barely beat Iran, Nigeria, Switzerland and Belgium with both so what says they'd have beaten Germany. What says they WOULD have won against Germany? A bit like saying Brazil would have won the whole thing with Neymar, which they wouldn't. Best team won the World Cup. Because the Germans didn't beat the Argies by much, they gave them plenty of chances and someone like Di Maria would have made a big difference. Let's not talk about Brazil, bro. I don't get your point at all, but anyways glad Di Maria is playing well for my FF team.

I feel your pain bro. Every time I'm back in Brazil playing I get pissed, because if people were honest it would be a great thing,b ut people aren't when they're playing so it just screws the whole game. It's all about adapting though. As for the before. Some teams in Brazil are horrible to watch, actually most teams are. It's been a lot of exactly what you said. There are some teams around that play great football though, take a look at Cruzeiro. They're rather fun to watch as they have some good players same goes for Sao Paulo. Corinthians, Atletico, Internacional are mostly boring teams to watch although Corinthians is a well organized team. Hope you enjoyed your game, atmosphere must've been awesome given Green Hell? Also Ceni scored once again yesterday from the spot, harsh on Gremio who apparently were the better team and looking at highlights should've had 2-3 goals.

Yeah, we sold/let go our 3 best players in Cabaye, Debuchy and Remy. They haven't been replaced. Pardew is rank average at best.... but IMO it really makes little difference in the long run with Ashley at the helm. So how has Ronald Koeman done so well at Southampton having his 5 best players sold from him? Could you answer this question please? I don't disagree he is crap. So who is this fabulous manager that will change the dog-s*** that is Riviere and Cabella into decent players? This s*** house of an owner is likely to bring in JFK, Wise or El-Tel. Oh wow.

I can, because Pardew is a s**** manager while Koeman isn't. I could as well because I find Pardew the biggest piece of shit manager I've seen at this club and that says alot with Souness having been here not long ago.
