We already have Neymar, and he has everything to become the worlds best someday. He just needs to learn more from Messi and get more effective. I'm not the biggest fan of Cristiano Ronaldo either, but him and Messi differentiate themselves from others because they're so effective in front of goal, they're main objective isn't to make people jump out of their seats, it's to score goals and win games. Sometimes he wants to do the harder things, he just needs to become a machine because if he scored half the chances he got for Barcelona last season he'd be close to 40 goals no doubt.

They paid heck of a lot of money to applaud someone

Sorry but the Brazil 90 side was far worse than the 86 one. This side is better than the 90 side but not as good as the 86 one. The 86 side had Careca and Josimar plus a lot of the 82 squad though most were past their best. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Anyways. I could sit here and complain that the ref missed this and that, but the scoreline could've been much worse had he gotten Silva off so I'll let him off the hook even if he missed the 2nd offside goal, a penalty for Brazil and then a foul on Oscar in the lead up to the goal. Time for the Brazilian federation to wake up, where are the young players? Where are the licensed managers? Where are the long-term plans? Also talk about Fred, Jo etc. But Hernanes is the worst player I've seen in the yellow shirt in my life. What the f*** does he actually offer? Slow as f***, seem mentally challenged as well and has no good touch whatsoever. Disappoointed Oscar took this long to wake up again... Shameful last two results, but lets not look past the positives, the whole world now knows that Brazilian government and FIFA are corrupt as f*** and needs clearing. Pato can't be that bad, surely? Unfortunately he is. My team Corinthians bought him and he was so bad they loaned him out. Kid can't even score against an open goal nowadays. It's that bad. I think for the near future we need to play Neymar centrally, he's our only hope and put players like Bernard, Coutinho, Lucas, Willian, Oscar behind him. We need constant movement and creativeness. Crazy. I rated him when he was at AC what a fall from grace. Sad tbh Tell me about it, thought the kid was going to be the next big thing and actually had 14 Serie A goals when he was benched quite a lot. But injuries killed him I think, first it shot him dead physically and then mentally. He has an embarrassing footballing brain, he's always so out of sight with what's going on than I'd like to call him a worse version of Papiss.

From the players? We have a solid base, Thiago and David will get four years (hopefully!) together at PSG and will be an experience richer after this. Marcelo will still only be reaching his 30s. Neymar, Oscar, Bernard, Willian is an excellent base to build around. Luiz Gustavo will be reaching 30 as well. So we have a nice base, it's all about finding the right way to fit them all, it's painfully obvious that we've lacked in midfield and not because of the players but because of the system. We've played two midfielders against 3 in every game and have been raped consistently in the middle. Have players like Doria, Lucas, Coutinho who should go onto great things, it's a matter of finding a #9 again, we need to look into the youth and see why there isn't one, we need to re-invent football, maybe go back to the four #10s from the 70s. We need to go back to the beautiful game, we had 8 years now of destructive football and counter attacks and we didn't win a World Cup so we need to go back to OUR style. We finished 4th, which considering our performances was heck of a result, but considering our squad and expectations were an incredible disgusting embarrassment.

They really have, and it's all down to two men. van Gaal and Robben. Unbelievable stuff from your team, on paper it's the weakest thing I've witnessed since Semtex last joke, and unlike his jokes the team is so organized. You guys should be proud.

Dante is a worse defender than David Luiz. David Luiz isn't a bad defender per se, he just has his comical apperances every now and then, that's why I think PSG is the perfect club. He can fail against teams and they'll still win comfortably. Bloke from BeIn sports reckons Dunga is getting the gig. Dunga? No way man, no way. He failed with us in the last WC. It's either going to be Scolari, Muricy or Tite. I'd love Muricy, get Brazilian football back to where it should be.

Willian is the only one except Oscar for 15minutes that's had an acceptable performance. David Luiz playing like he did in the Confed. I can't believe a player can play 5 games like he did in this World Cup to then choke this much in the last two games. It's an unbelievable gap between his highest level in the WC to his lowest. So proud of our midfield, really working their socks off not letting Holland come close to the goal Can't believe it? Typical Luiz tbh, he can be great, but he's such a radge he is always likely to have games like this. Teach him some discipline and he'd be canny. Aye, probably should've clarified, can't believe he could have 5 excellent games in a row. These types of performances are normal for him every 3 or 4 games. He's probably my second most hated player after Suarez. Just hate the way he plays He became one of my favourites until the Germany, now he's starting to move down the list again Same with Suarez, started loving him until the Italy match No worries Mike, I'm sure Elfrid Payton is going to make me proud one day.
-
Bullshit Our squad is amongst the best, our performances are amongst the worst. I could count up to 20 teams that have put in better performances than us. We've put in around 75minutes of good football in the whole tournament.
-
I couldn't believe shit getting worse than this, but rumours doing the round that we might want to replace Scolari with Mourinho...
-
f*** that s***. Flip's Brazil losing to one of his most hated teams.. Except I actually started to enjoy you guys after the Spain bumming I've actually been ashamed to have fallen in love with van Gaal. x 100

He was good until the semifinal. Absolute mess now. Worse than absolute mess, it's like he's out there to kill someone. I can't believe a guy like him, who obviously has all the tools in the world to be a great defender can be this inconsistent. It's fucking shameful.
-
Don't, I'm enjoying this far more than I ever imagine I could. It's just comically bad stuff. I'll never suffer as much as I did seeing Germany anally rape the nation live though. That was tough, even if it took me three days to realize what has happened.

Luiz has had some absolute shockers in the PL, like. Less so with Terry telling him what to do, I guess. Aye, tbf he's been excellent until last game with Thiago Silva as well, but you can see that as soon as his calming leader is away or having an off day he will as well. He depends on someone that actually keeps him focused on football and nothing else. The first thing he did this game was to try and elbow him and van persie off the game Although, it was offside for their second goal

He's injured. I've been told here that injured players on the bench makes a huge difference to the team's performance. I don't remember anyone on here suggesting an injured Colo be named as a substitute, like. Yeah, because the PL gives teams the possibility to field every squad player? Jesus Christ. Brazil aren't exaclty missing out on a substitute by having Neymar on the bench are they? Wow.
-
Have they been revered though? They are the home team and a huge footballing nation, to me it's pretty obvious they'll pull a lot of media coverage. This guy apparently watches loads of Enner Valencia at Pachuca. Bet if he didn't google he'd have no idea what colour Pachuca plays in.
-
Going to be on the bench in uniform apprently. Said it's his choice and he wants to finish what he started with his teammates. Great attitude in my opinion. Could've easily just f***ed off instead of taking all the responsibility that he has in the last few days. What a guy! What a hero! Just think that unlike some players and the coaching staff that has gone hiding he has at least gone out and taken on the responsibility to be the face of the failure despite not having been on the pitch. It's a 22 year old who didn't crumble under pressure and carried the side until he was kicked to bits by a Chilean defender. I understand if you're unable to see past your hatred towards the kid though. I don't hate Neymar at all. I hate the collective wankfest/circus surrounding him. Everything that goes on around him is like some Hollywood story designed to rouse emotions and show him as some sort of messiah. Also, I do think it's a lot easier to "take the blame" when you haven't played in the most embarrassing game in your nation's history due to an impact injury you couldn't do anything about. As for Neymar the player, I think he's fantastically talented and apart from the odd diving bollocks, he conducts himself really well in general. I do hope though that for his sake and the sake of football, that his career doesn't fizzle out the way Robinho's and Ronaldinho's (in a way) did. That's fair enough. I think some of it are OTT as well, but I think it's more of a team thing and it's media that portrays it like that. They just wanted to show him support, same way had it been Oscar injured. One thing Scolari does is build a family atmosphere well, he's tactically quite poor which usually doesn't matter in knockout stages where motivational skills are more important. We hit a wall against Germany, was a one-off. As for Neymar, I believe he comes from a good background and conducts himself so well outside the pitch that I'd be surprised if his career fizzlled out the way Ronaldinho's did. I think injuries might kill him, but not parties like Ronaldinhos. Ronaldo's not even out fishing anymore, he's genuinely sharing his opinion which are absolutely ridiculous. That Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka and Rivaldo is somewhat superior to Willian, Oscar, Neymar and Fred? I'm not sure how I'm even going to answer that. If you can't see the mis-connection you made between the first four names then there's no help here. (and yes they are superior)

Too late of an edit Disc0.

Fair enough if that's your opinion geordiedean, but if you can't see the difference between a player getting injured pre-World Cup to a player getting injured during the World Cup. If you can't see the difference between violent fouls and disruptive fouls. Well then you probably should stick to watching Enner Valencia play at Pachuca since you seem to think he's a quality player that has it all. It's your opinion that it sickening, but while I agree that this Brazil side has been an embarrassment it's better than any english side I've had the non-pleasure to watch in my life-time. It's also gone further than any of the English sides I've seen. I don't see how you can say he'll never be when he's already one of the top scorers in the national side in history. I agree that he's no Ronaldo, no Pele, no Zico etc. But he's a damn good player who carried probably the most pressured sides of all times in a World Cup offensively. The only game they were without him they crumbled (even if I'm of the opinion Thiago Silva is far more important to the side). Pretty amazing how far they've fallen in 10 years, like. We didn't win shit between 70 and 94 either, the greatest team to ever play according to many didn't win anything either. We've failed massively as a nation in the last three World Cups but have still almost won every single tournament in between which makes it even more painful to fall in the big stage. In 2002 we weren't even considered good enough to go past the R16 as we almost failed to qualify. This is football, people like you, absolute clueless people, try to look at a much larger picture because of a slump. Last year everyone were so impressed, now it didn't work out that way. There's nothing more or less to it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, just like Spain went out in the group stages I still believe them to be favourites for the next Euros with Germany.

Would love him here he's quality has got the lot Be interesting to hear how he's done for Pachuca or even Emelec. What type of player is he and how did he do at Pachuca?
