We overperformed, which brings us to everyone elses conclusion that it's not only wages that factor in, but injuries, managers, and 50 other things. So if 5th is overperforming and 16th is underperforming, what is our level? Not 8th with basic maths

The cheater gets on and is applauded couple hours after screwing a woman while married to another one. Beautiful sight.

Look another cheater getting onto the pitch.

He's worded differently as the discussion has gone on. (or that's how I've interpreted it at least). There's tons of factors involved in football, he was trying to make the point earlier that the wages is the most important factor and that usually you can determine a season at the beginning of the season by just looking at the wages which is an absolutely ridiculous statement.

Football in Brazil isn't about buying players although we're moving towards that. But players lose their top players to european leagues and have to restart. So every season is a very different from the before as the champions might have lost 3 or 4 key players.

Well you've worded differently than from the beginning. It's quite clear that richer clubs tend to have a larger chance of winning since they can buy from lower clubs, but in countries where I come from (Brazil and Sweden) that's not always the case with it being a selling-to-foreign-country-league. Once again, it's not always the case but it is generally the case. That is why there are big clubs and little clubs, that is why Southampton won't win the league next year and neither will we. Once again, you bring the PL into the discussion while originally saying EVERY league. Fluminense won the league in Brazil in 2012 and were relegated in 2013. I get your point, but you've changed your wording as the discussion has progressed.

Sorry stats were wrong. Atletico 4th lowest. Cruzeiro 6th highest. Point still stands.

As for that load of shit you spouted about wages tollemache. Brazilian league. Corinthians and Internacional had highest salaries in the league and finished 10th and 13th. Cruzeiro who won the league had 10th highest salary and Atletico PR who finished 3rd the second lowest salaries in the league. Goias finished 6th had the lowest. So bring that back to that statistical community you're part of.

Just realized that. Hadn't read all the previous posts so had to go through them...

Managed to get money on Liverpool just in time for the Arsenal goal.

Sanogo lucky there tbf, should never have gotten away with chesting that ball down there. Defenders should be all over that.

What a divvy, we might as well not bother playing football, we should just look at everything at the beginning of the season and award league places at that time based on how much teams pay in wages. That's pretty much how it always turns out, yep. In every league ever. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make and I don't think you are either. What a load of shit. Every league, don't talk about things you clearly have no idea about.

Tons of managers around who wants their team playing entertaining football. Said last season that Martinez would've been an excellent appointment as long as he had some guidances in the transfer window. Doing a very good job at Everton who could've been further up the table had they not been so unlucky in the beginning of the season where they just couldn't seem to score from a million of chances. Swansea has just sacked someone who I'd w*** my penis off if we got. The whole "might as well keep him, because who would we replace him with" went out the window the second he was sacked. Completely forgot about him.

Not really relevant, but Ryan Taylor has not been "useful" at all. One of the worst players I've seen for us in a long, long time. Was ok during that unbeaten run, but was still the weakest link and the unbeaten run came to an end when he had a mare against Chelsea.

What are you on about? van Gaal nice football? Ever since leaving Ajax his teams have been all about tactics, all about winning games even if it was done the wrong way. Ask VI what he thinks about him, he basically destroyed Rivaldo's career, one of the best at the time because of his boring football philosophy. I mean even the majority of Bayern fans were happy to see him go, even after taking them to a CL final and we all understand why now, look at where they went without him.

van Gaal. I'll jump off the bridge. Detest that person. Mourinho, Magath, van Gaal in the same league would be fucking disaster.

I'm a fan. I really really really want the club to improve, win, play good football, get into Europe, challenge for top 4.... all of it. I don't like the idea of bobbing around between 6th and 10th for the next ten years one bit. I'll get antsy if we don't make progress (or try to). I just think that right now we're about exactly where we should be in the league, as far as our squad goes. As far as my long-term patience goes, this summer is pretty important Definitely did well in the last 2 transfer windows. They were skewed by the hyperactive January before that, which was a combination of deals that should've happened the previous summer but couldn't close out and deals we wanted to do the summer after but had to rush. This January doesn't bother me one bit because the season was f***ed by then in terms of dramatically overperforming - I'd rather we did good business this summer than unnecessarily spunking loads of money on Grenier or an inferior version of him, just to have a stab at finishing 8th rather than 9th. But we do really have to do something this summer. We need to do something right now, and that is sacking our manager.
