Commentry on the coverage I watched had me laughing in the first 10 minutes.
"Two clubs with big ambition."
"Shelvey bringing energy to the Newcastle midfield."
Almiron should have had a penalty. They never should have had that corner. Bruce looking utterly clueless as per usual.

Done over a ton yesterday and today. Wtf Man U? Tottenham win can help recovery.
Leg 1: Match Odds | Tottenham
Leg 2: Both Teams To Score First Half | Yes
Leg 3: Over/Under Total Goals 3.5 | Over 3.5 Goals

Just stuck £40 on a 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 Man City win then discovered it was a special with no cash-out available. Don't think I'm going to enjoy this match
-
Shit player whether scoring or not, whether in the team or not!
You don't do half measures any more do you. or did you ever. He's not a shit player, but he is limited depending on the opposition.
-
Yorkie's been hitting the nail on the head in a lot of his posts of late.
And, like Ikon, I still struggle to come to terms with Steve Bruce being the manager whenever I see the thread title. From Rafa to Bruce, three giant steps forward, one mile backwards.
-
We're third in the league on current form, its an alternate universe and I missed the transition.
-
he's like KK, and Sir Bobby in the respect that when they speak, you become entranced. you become enthralled and start smiling without even knowing it. all three just made you feel better.
cf. Pardew, Kinnear, Carver, Bruce ..... just made you cringe and want to throw things at the telly.
-
Not a chance I'm watching this MNF. Nope.
He's moved on, I've moved on and happy to keep things that way.
Well yes, that’s the thing. I don’t think there’s any nufc supporter that doesn’t wish he was still here, but like you said. It’s done with.
We’re stuck with a downgrade now but it’s not turning out to be as bad as what people thought so life goes on..
But essentially futile. You can’t escape that.
Nail on head. I don't understand how people can't see that. And they, apparently, can't see my point of view. What a weird situation.

So much for the goalfest. Shit match.
-
That's an amazing stat, can't believe it - did I mis-hear? Over 8 years since Arsenal came from behind in the Premier league?

it's so similar to the Pardew 5th season. Credit where it's due to Bruce for getting the results at the moment
No credit at all. You've said it yourself that it's similar to the 5th place season. The following season proved that we finished 5th in spite of Pardew, not because of him.
Give over. Yeah Pardew was shit overall, but he deserved some credit for the season we finished 5th, as does Bruce for having a decent start to his time here.
I'm sure the wheels will come off eventually (as they did with Pardew), but you can't say whenever we win, it is in spite of the manager.
Yes you can when it’s true.
Pardew deserves zero credit. The fella was a fraud and so is this guy. Bruce will soon be on the same scrapheap that Pardew finds himself on and rightly so. Time is up for the likes of them in footballing terms.
Christ. Some right miserable cunts in here
I'm as happy as a sandboy in life but in a purely football context, is it any wonder that people are miserable. There's nothing to be positive about with regards to NUFC and it hurts.
I get that. But if you can't get any enjoyment at all from winning a match, I wouldn't bother following football at all. I don't support Bruce as the manager, but he has done much better than I expected thus far.
To be honest, I don't bother to follow football any more, not with any real interest. I don't watch any football on TV, never mind NUFC matches. I'm on here a lot as I enjoy the community and of course because the club is in my blood and I cannot let go, but Ashley has managed to kill my love for the sport which has been my life for the last 40 years.
I cannot separate NUFC winning a match from it being a success for Mike Ashley. If you can, then fair play to you.
The community seems so fractured to me now it is getting less and less enjoyable. Repetitive endless arguments. There's two or three posters could do with an enforced rest for a month or two, and its none of the old regulars.

Arsenal and West Ham are disgustingly bad.
I mean this is actually out of order it's so awful.
Have you seen Newcastle play this season.
Seriously, we look terrible. Someone said, before the Southampton game, the Southampton were shit - they still looked miles better than us in an organised attacking sense. Everyone does.
-
Surely the Bruce spiel 'Maybe the club could do something' was all an orchestrated prelude to this?
-
Think Rafa might be expecting a West Ham win here.
-
Stuck a fiver on Noble first goal, he's due one (statistically) and he's usually up for the big games. 14-1
-
And about giving him a job to do that he is comfortable with. If you put him in a position/job he is struggling then it is your fault not the players.
See Bruce: Almiron & Joelinton
-
I wouldn't know other than via Sky or illegal methods (cough Kodi cough).
-
Imagine Bruce doing this section
Ah fuck me, nearly choked on my beer.
-
Love listening to him here, his understanding of the game is almost beyond measure.
-
I went 2-2 @ 9/1 in the end and the cash out window will be open throughout the game.
-
Can't pick a winner there. You would think Arsenal have to pick up a win some time and they have a great record against West Ham, but West ham just won their last London derby and have been finishing stongly in a lot of recent games.
Might just go over 3.5 goals, BTTS and more than 1 card.
-
Ashley will be ringing round to see how much he can sell Lascelles for, given how we've performed without him.
-
Incidentally, who else would have taken Dummet off for Schar and pushed Clark left, Clark was the one doing most of the organising from what I could see.
-
I wouldnt mind so much but there is genuinely people on twatter that think hes better than Rafa.
Results have been waaaaay better than the performances.
Think there's a few on here who secretly believe that as well, they just don't have the balls to say it openly.
It just doesn't stand up to any scrutiny whatsoever. In fact its fucking ludicrous.
Well, except for back page supporters and twitter mongs.

Last season he had one on one coaching and instruction from Benitez.
This season he's got.. "Go and show them son, bomb on when you can." Bruce.
