The whole clear and obvious error thing is just there to make it look like the on field official is in charge but the whole clear and obvious thing is creating most of the problems. That was a penalty tonight but was deemed ‘a clear and obvious’ mistake by the ref it’s a farce. I’d love to go back to the old way. wouldn’t have got the penalty then either but it doesn’t feel like we’ve been cheated as much as when VAR look at it and still don’t give it

And this tonight highlight one major problem with VAR. I don’t blame the ref as it took a few replays to see the contact on Gordon but the VAR officials go and look it and they can see the contact but because the onfield ref didn’t give it they won’t change it because of the ‘high threshold’ pish. They either want to re-ref the game using VAR or they don’t. They are somewhere in the middle and it doesn’t work

Baffles me how anyone that sat thru Isak goal being ruled out for offside on his debut v Liverpool or Jota’s dive this season can say that with any sort of confidence also the officials gave our goal v Arsenal and var tried its best not to give it looking at 3 different incidents before allowing it

That’s happening anyway. 3 or 4 incidents against Liverpool for us alone in the last 2 seasons

They don’t get forgotten about it’s just that people don’t think it’s worth ruining the match going experience over and the ones they get wrong obv stand out more. It’s just boring now every single week there’s about 10 incidents everyone is arguing over. Sky have even made a tv program for Howard Webb to come on and talk about it ffs the game has coped for over 100 years without every goal getting micro analysed

I was at both play off games and Airdrie were the better team. Very unlucky not to go thru. Missed a goalscorer. Rhys McCabe has done a fantastic job he’s already a legend in Airdrie fans eyes. Got the job as player manager and got Airdrie promoted to the championship thru the play offs for first time in 11 attempts and while most fans and pundits were predicting Airdrie to come straight back down they reached the play offs to go up to the Premier League all while playing some great football. Also won the Scottish Challenge cup beating TNS in final be gutted if Hibs come in for him

my local club Airdrie are a small championship side and their shirts are always unique. White shirt and red diamond. If a small club can do it surely an elite adidas shirt can have something unique

It’s expectations tho isn’t it? Think everyone was expecting great things when adidas were announced and these rumoured kits are just a bit boring. They aren’t bad just a boring rehash. Personally I’m more interested in the other stuff like training gear, jackets and hats etc than the actual kits
