  1. May hear from her again thru George Caulkin when he’s back from holiday. He seems to be the journalist she trusts. Aye perhaps, but she'll say fuck all if there's a chance to resurrect the deal. In the same way she said nothing when Ashley called her shite years back because she intended to come back again. Imo. It’s dead. The Premier league ain’t budging. They don’t have to and probably feel very little pressure to do so. Whatever the PL asked them for they felt the best option was to walk away, can’t see anything changing there. Newcastle United will mean very little to the Saudis, when they are ready they’ll buy some other team without half has much scrutiny. I admire anyone who still holds out hope for this deal.

  3. I don’t think she even knows what her next move is. The Saudis are out, no question about that. Does she come back with another consortium? By all accounts it took nearly 2 years to get this bid in place
  4. Sadly there not going to be any resolution to this. Newcastle fans have to yet again just put up with it. Not many positives other than Ashley definately wants to sell and the fanbase seem united for once. Other than that fuck next season and fuck the PL.
  5. Shame they didn’t ask how Martin Samuels knew exactly what was going to be in the letter to Chi 24 hours before. The PL are snakes. Fact is they didn’t have the bottle to reject PIF but were willing to this drag on and drag on.

    Fixtures 2020/21

I know it’s an obvious thing to say but these should have been the most exciting set of fixtures we’ve had now I’ve barely looked at them

If not safe by May Newcastle are down
  8. Does this help in anyway or form? Why can't she ask for compromise ways to revive the deal? It’s not her job to get involved in the deal. Politically it might not be good for her to back a Saudi bid
  9. Could we still get a compromise that is all I want to f***ing hear. I’ll be amazed if that was answered

So depressing just thinking about next season
  11. Great news but really not hopeful anything will come of it. My guess is they’ll refer to the letter they sent chi half a dozen times and not expand on anything
  12. But you know he’s just relaying what he’s being told by most probably staveley herself? He’s not making these things up. I’d imagine Jacobs was getting his info from a premier league or bein source and it just so happens that side won out You are right, you don’t understand
  13. Coz he’s a really good journalist and also your post isn’t even all that accurate. He was told it was close by his source and if we believe AS they (the buyers) were told it was close until something changed within the PL. How caulkin gets shit for reporting what he’s told by probably staveley herself I’ve no idea. From caulkin, explaining just that a few weeks ago, for those failing to understand
  14. Nothing to prevent them, so why aren’t they taking legal action instead of just walking away?
  15. 100% definitely not. It's gone quiet, but there's no way Staveley, Reuben's and PIF have completely walked away. Not a chance. My personal belief is this PR exercise regarding the new takeover rumours is an attempt to push PIF to get back to the table and offer the PL what they want. I can understand the logic but personally, I think it's just wishful thinking and that it's quiet because there's nothing more to be said. In saying that, there is the NUST meeting with the PL which should be interesting to hear about. Seemingly it’s a meeting with supporters trusts of another 5 or 6 clubs primarily to talk about getting fans back in to stadiums. I suspect any NUST questions about the takeover will be batted away Takeover is on the agenda. Already confirmed. Just coz it’s on the agenda doesn’t mean they’ll give any proper answers. Alex himself on TF podcast didn’t seem all that hopeful
