I enjoy how Best, his replacement as a transfer, scored more goals in one game than he has done all season.

We seemed to carry the ball up the pitch fine without Jonas against Everton. We had Ben Arfa tbf. Think that's his point. Although I agree with Wullie wholeheartedly.

I smell danger if Llambias stumbles across that.

Looks better in this game than Ameobi has most of the season.

One thing's for sure, I reckon Best will put in more effort than Shola does some times. I know it doesn't count for much, mind (see A.Smith), but if he can hopefully get himself in a position to score something might work out. Law of averages says he'll get at least one chance, hopefully it's a tap in, he scores, feels a bit better about himself and we'll see what he do. If he's crap for whole 90 minutes I reserve the right to rescind this optimism and lambast him. Go on Leon, my son.

What's wrong with Shola now? Always been patient with him but that's a massive fail when he needs to stand up and be counted. If the front pair is Best and McLoven I'll be really, really happy with a point.

It's true - anyone coming up - and don't forget, practically that may mean moving their family/hope up to the north east - would fear that Ashley could just get rid of them without any reason (as a law student sometimes I ponder whether Hughton should try an action for unfair dismissal, although it would probably fail on contractual terms I'm not aware of), and therefore they consider it a fairly pointless and dangerous upheaval. Another reason to add onto the pile of why I hate him.

Does it worry anybody that so few people in their right mind would want to come and work for a club under a man like Mike Ashley? I personally believe that's a reason people like him have rejected us, and their distaste at his appalling treat of Hughton.

Win's a win, pleased with the performance - better side for vast majority of the game, shame we didn't score more but I'd say that's a mixture of bad luck (two woodworks), lack of match-sharpness (Lovenkrands,Best chances), and a bit of poor finishing (Shola, arguably Jonas).
