It’s to call what happens between the two teams. You can have all the misplaced passes, poor shots, bad quality football you like, the referee had a fairly simple call there to give a penalty. Yes and he made a mistake, that happens and has always happened. If you want to take human error out of it completely then you need VAR. I'm not sure what your point is. For what? If they make an obvious mistake do they need to come out and say it? Does Kenedy have to come out and explain why he took a horrible penalty? He knows it and everyone else knows it. I see what you're saying, but we should have had a penalty just before they scored, and this all happened in the final seconds. So I think it's relevant. Shit performance or not its a blatant penalty. Its still worthy of criticism Sure. In comparison there were almost 11 Newcastle players who performed worse in their job than the ref today.
