  1. Love this Nations Cup thing. So much better playing meaningful games against decent opposition than friendlies against Qatar or Jordania. Oh and...TOP OF THE GROUP!
  2. "You play to his strenghts" Yes. You can do that in this league if you spend £105m on players. If you spend -£22m, then no.
  3. I get it that he's a decent defender and everything but I just hate him as a footballer. To see a player with such poor technique and so uncomfortable on the ball kills me every time. I get angry just writing about it.
  4. Three teams in the last 16 of Europa League last season for example.
  5. Yeah was just reading up on it. That's why they are there. UCL & Europa League champions and winners of top 5 leagues. Rest is pure five year ranking. Country ranking: https://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method5/crank2019.html
  6. Dont ask me how this has happened but:

I get what you are saying and I agree but I want Rafa to go as he doesn't deserve this and doesn't need this. The line when he first came was is if Rafa is still here it means everything is been done properly as he won't stand for anything less. Well he has been royally shafted big time and now hung out to dry by Ashely. Best thing he can do for himself is just leave. Like Geordiedean said people are sick to death of the club constantly chucking away our only chances to ever see us win something. This is the worst state we have been in as a club in my lifetime with no hope and nothing to get behind. We could all see before the Spurs match it was a dead season. Rafa just needs to get on with it, yes we know it's all Ashley's fault but he's been hung out to dry so either stay and get on with it or just leave now for his own good. Him been here hasn't stirred the fans against Ashley so maybe him leaving will. We have nothing to lose at this point anyhow. So should Rafa get on with it (what he's doing now) or leave? Maybe try to stick to one opinion inside one post. I think you're confusing yourself nevermind everyone else.

In stupidity scale that's about the same as saying the victim of domestic violence is just as much to blame for staying in the relationship as the abuser. It’s not like It is like. They arent helping get rid of him but to say they are to blame for it is idiotic.

Maybe the poor bastard thought he'd actually get to spend some of that money. He has had plenty of transfer windows here before this summer to know how it works. He was totally shafted and missed his holiday last summer. If he was gullible enough to fall for it again more fool him I'm sure he knew he would get none of it though he's not a moron I dont think he knew that. I'm pretty sure most people here in May were expecting us to spend a lot more and we've seen over 10 years of Ashley.

  12. And the players never miss a tackle, never misplace a pass, never fail to make a save, fans never see it incorrectly... Great comparison. That’s part of football. Happens every game. Refereeing decisions like that have no part. They have a part. Atleast in the world we live and have lived so far. If you want every decision to be 100% correct the whole game of football will be something completely different. The referee’s job isn’t to have a bearing on the outcome of a match. It’s to call what happens between the two teams. You can have all the misplaced passes, poor shots, bad quality football you like, the referee had a fairly simple call there to give a penalty. Yes and he made a mistake, that happens and has always happened. If you want to take human error out of it completely then you need VAR. I'm not sure what your point is. I was answering to Stifler who said VAR wont change anything and referees make mistakes just because they are horribly trained or something.
  13. For what? If they make an obvious mistake do they need to come out and say it? Does Kenedy have to come out and explain why he took a horrible penalty? He knows it and everyone else knows it. Just because they don't explain stuff for the media doesnt mean the referees dont get feedback and talk about what happened.

  16. I see what you're saying, but we should have had a penalty just before they scored, and this all happened in the final seconds. So I think it's relevant. Shit performance or not its a blatant penalty. Its still worthy of criticism Sure. In comparison there were almost 11 Newcastle players who performed worse in their job than the ref today.
  17. The referee blaming If the keeper would accidentally drop five corner kicks into his own net some people would still be screaming they were never corners at all. What a shit show of a match that was.
  18. Well I expected that team that we actually put out there to play a hell of a lot better. They've been fucking abysmal. A good half of them barely look like footballers.
  19. Did they just turn down the pitch volume when that chant got going?
