Have been thinking this myself. Dude has been summoned to emergency boardroom meetings with Dekka ready to pull the trigger for months, keeps pointing at the pocket of support on newcastle-online and his job has been saved Apathy bleeds through from everywhere tbh. Not just this forum. As Wullie said, the majority are responsible for not making their discontent known much, much earlier. Financially or vocally.
  2. You're not serious, man? The players don't deserve a bonus, but I find it astounding that you seem to indicate that the buck doesn't stop at Pardew for managing these players and building a team out of them. It stops at the feet of everyone involved. They're all at fault, as I've said numerous times before. To blame one man for the situation is simple-minded bullshit. The omnishambles we've been watching these last few minutes is nothing to do with Pardew and is due to a complete lack of heart and professional pride amongst the players, they're an embarrassment. Pardew may be as well, but to deny that the players are at fault for the way this season has gone is to deny the obvious. True. Replacing the players isn't particularly realistic though. Yes, but giving them their fair share of the blame on here should be! It isn't though because a significant number of people seem to have convinced themselves that simply writing a different name on the manager's door will turn this bunch of gutless cretins into world-beaters. People are seriously putting forward the argument that we can blame the players because playing under Pardew must be so unbearable that it's not their fault that they clearly don't even give a shit about their performance. Fuck me man, how would these grown men survive in the real world, where the rest of us have to work under genuinely crap management and still manage to maintain an acceptable level of performance in our jobs? It's obviously unrealistic for them to be sacked, but they deserve shit by the bucket-load and they're not getting it because as per usual there's a nice scapegoat to pin all of the blame on. Just to make it obvious, I will repeat that I am not saying that Pardew is not to blame at all and after that game he's got to be on seriously thin ice, but he is not solely to blame. Straw man. Not the case at all tbh. Take on board the rest of what you've wrote though. The players deserve flak for it, but they should keep their jobs. Pardew shoudn't.

For all the crying about us turning on each other there has been a certain section of fans who have very arrogantly been pulling in the wrong direction. We're going down now. We're absolutely fucked. There is no fixing this now. It's not even gloating tbh. It's frustration that we've had to slide towards this state while being mocked by the same people who are saying "let's all cry together". Fuck off
  4. Says he doesn't want us to go down, and acknowledged we had a shocking day as much as they had a good day.

No one is denying that the players have been horrific today, but do you think they're particularly bad or weak-willed individuals? I don't. I see that over the course of the season they've been systematically broken. You've seen anger slip out in fits and starts over the last few months - particularly from Cisse. This exaggerated en masse capitulation has been inevitable for a long time now. This would happen with any group of players. It's not a case of them just not giving a shit it's that they are being poorly managed to the point where it's admirable that none of them have actually come out and said anything. We were getting hammered today before heads dropped, and the fact that they have now is no fucking wonder. My late edit to the post you've quoted:

I include myself in that. Barely wanted to watch the game today at 9am. Same with Disco, same with a few others who I now forget. The match begins and fans feel like saying "what's the fucking point?". I see no reason why that wouldn't be true of the players who are sent out there.
  7. He's a coward. He'll put it off for as long as possible. Probably do the classic apology to the fans for the lack of effort from the players because Pardew appreciates how hard NE folk work to pay good money to watch the team blah blah blah
  8. Nothing washes away the kind of humiliation and embarrassment we've suffered. 3-0 at home to the mackems, now possibly a double-digits loss to an even more hated team.

All the optimism and feel-good factor from £20m-odd of spending this January, the raw power of Sissoko, the spring in the step of Gouffran, the promise of a decent fourth centre back, cover at LB.. all eviscerated in under four months. Those new lads won't believe that we're a big club because no big club would tolerate such a shite sub-par manager for as long as we have. The old stars of HBA, Cabaye etc if they are sensible should already be well into the process of looking for newer pastures. How utterly depressing.
  11. Players given up/feel as hopeless as the fans from the looks of it. Heads couldn't drop any lower.
  12. I really hope the players staged a half-time coup and beat the shit out of Pardew.
  13. No pressure on HBA now we're already 2 down. Complete prat.

Fans feel powerless IMO. Some are too scared about looking fickle to people on the outside of the club who don't watch us week-in, week-out and who don't matter one jot, some people want to believe Pardew deserves more time because they want to feel optimistic and because they're too committed to not watch the team and some know they have very little sway over whether Pardew stays or goes, whether our stadium is a Sports Direct advert or our ground etc ...is correct and bang on the money. Fans may feel as I've described, but I don't believe they are powerless. Even if depriving Ashley of gate income won't do it, we still ought to fight the losing battle against him by fans talking with their wallets.

  16. Fuck having a squad like. Would just be nice if they were up to it. He's proven already that he is. Bit harsh singling out youngsters when they're being let down by the senior players and the gutless manager. Said exactly the same when people had made Sammy Ameobi their scapegoat earlier this season. Ronaldo's talking horseshit. Moronic singling out individual players under this regime - especially Haidara who actually does look up for it.
  17. Bit early to be doing the Pardew post-match parody predictions - but the game is over I suppose.
