I can only imagine it being outright poisonous if we're doing rubbish against a rubbish side at home. Can't see it being particularly bad facing Liverpool & Arsenal unless we get pasted in a very timid fashion. But for Cisse's last minute winners against Stoke/Fulham, I reckon they had more of a chance of creating some beeews.
  3. Jarvis has really scuppered any sympathy freekicks Webb would have awarded West Ham this game, haha.
  4. FM-speak. What do you call that then? I think he's laughing at the concept of us trying to reach the byline to cut a ball back, rather than your use of terminology.
  5. Zabaleta is quality like - he's on the end of a goalkeeping spillage from a breakaway Tevez shot
  6. Attack vs Defence ftw for the televising.
  7. Allardyce has diabolical posture.
  8. Need a West Ham goal in a Man City win to keep my bet alive and scupper my FF rival.
  9. Came in to this thread to make the same comment. Looks like he has lost three years or so (in a good way).
  10. Free bet on Man City/Everton/Newcastle

Hope he is given the boot if/when we are statistically safe from relegation. Otherwise his legacy will eventually be the guy who was responsible for failing to show the best of the likes of Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Sissoko et al in a Newcastle shirt. Those players will probably be retrospectively be adjudged to have never been that good in the first place and overrated by the fans, by some, of course.
  12. Gameweek 35: Man City 2-0 West Ham Everton 2-1 Fulham Southampton 2-1 West Brom Stoke City 0-0 Norwich Wigan 1-3 Tottenham Newcastle 2-2 Liverpool Reading 1-1 QPR Chelsea 3-1 Swansea Arsenal 2-1 Man Utd Aston Villa 3-1 Sunderland
  13. Aye, like a kid who gets what he wants whenever he asks, suddenly Mummy and Daddy say no. You just cant figure it out why can ya Preferred my Yokozuna/Trish Stratus one like.
  14. I think so this signing smacks of Guardiola. Not so bizarre, I suppose, but very strange with them possibly set to play in a CL final - and I think they will! Should've bet on it. Would have got good odds

I'd have it back now. Really? They were some good times to be fair, spunked a lot of money on fatties like kluivert and such but wasn't all bad. Whilst Ashley's plan is far more sustainable long term, it would be decent to see Fat Fred spunking loads of cash on Mourinho/Falcoa etc. But yeah like you say Ashley's is more sustainable. Just nice to be a force at times. I like it that we don't spent silly money for players that are past it or just want to join for money. Also, to only go for players that have the right age seems right to me. Still, think exceptions should be made. For example, I think we should have gone for Berbatov the moment he stated his desire to leave Man Utd. How much was it? 8 million? Top, top player. Can carry a team on his own at times. Our record of signing Man Utd players is a poor one tbf. Smith, Butt and Obertan.
  16. Hasn't the player's history/priors been persuasive in determining the severity of his punishment though?
  17. Further fuel to help him leave the country this summer hopefully.
