Yeah, agree re: Wigan. Can't pick between home, away or draw on that fixture. Both play some decent stuff at times, but both can be horrendous sticking the ball in the net.

He's better than Ryan Taylor, that's all. Of course, but if the LB position is going to get raped anyway, I'd leave Taylor there and bring Santon into an easier game in an easier stadium. Rather than the inevitable starting him here, him looking poor and the "OMG! HE'S SHIT!!!!!!!!" prevailing. JH, king of the straw man argument C'mon man, no poster/fan worth talking football with would say that unless there was substance to it.

The early kick-off is a bit of a shite one. Stoke v Blackburn. Lots of red cards, elbows and goals that ultimately ends in club fines and point deductions will do me fine. Huth big booting Pedersen with studs would be a good watch too. Draw would be decent. Stoke's home form would continue to stagnate, and Blackburn wouldn't motor significantly closer to 17th.

My risk to make Adebayor captain over RVP yielded no added benefit last week, they both got 13. RVP's amazing run has to stop some time, and nearly every bandwagon jumper has him as captain. Going to captain HBA instead

Krul Simpson ColoKadar Saylor Raylor Obertan Gosling Cabaye Jonas HBA Ba Is this how we'll be lining up then? Based on Pardew's comments on Guthrie not training this week and being a different type of player (to Cheick) I think we'll see Gosling come in, with a deep-lying Cabaye in a more feisty role. Vuckic would have thrived on the occasion I reckon, if he'd had a bit more match time in games leading up to this week.

Prospectively: RVP to score Spurs DNB Swansea £40 returns £204 Edit: Did three or four accumulators similar to this. Used Bolton-Everton (BTS) and Swansea in a few of them.

Not sure they'll get murdered, but they'll keep our wingers hampered enough to keep us on the backfoot for large spells. Feels like if he is free to push up, then so can the rest of the team. If he's pegged back, you know the only "attacks" we'll have will be long balls.

Gutted if we don't have Tiote and Best available. Right kick in the knackers we've had injuries going into these three games - which given our comparatively shallow squad hits us much harder than those around us in the league right now. I suppose we've been lucky overall (compared to Bolton, for example) but still really fucking annoying.

Any info on how injured/uninjured this chap is ahead of tomorrow's game? Seen a few quotes saying he's pleased/expecting Obertan and Cheick (surname for one, first name for the other) to be back. Not sure if this is indicative of their respective likeliness to start, or just that Best isn't fit yet. I have a hunch, and suspect Best's injury may have cost him his starting XI place.

Most confident ive ever felt was before the game at OT when we got spanked 6-2. Took loads of fellow Erasmus exchange students (many manure fans) to a bar in to watch us do them ower. That was at SJP.

Swansea at home to Villa are 5/4

That last line is WUMmery I can only dream of - to end on "and UNITED to get the job done". Pow.

Only a passing mention of Newcastle. Correct scoreline. Man Utd's defensive record since derby loss. Wrong on everything else.

The real one. [As if you'd believe me: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/football_focus/15861497.stm]

We battered them 6-0, and call me a sentimental old food, but I'd like to think that contributed to eventually getting McLeish who will hopefully enjoy a longe tenure with them. I'm happy to call us squared away - with us coming out a little ahead if anything.
