Thought the game showed we need a left back and a central midfielder. Interesting to see if Enrique plays against Bolton. i thought we needed two CM before today but was impressed with Guthrie. Duff was OK but is a squad player now. Anyone know why Cacapa didn't make the bench?

Thought he was excellent today especially the first half. Not sure how Butt was MoTM ahead of him.

we need to replace Butt and i'd rather Guthgrie was a back-up so whilst they can both hopefully contribute this is our weakest area by far although I expect Joey b to be a stronger player when he finally returns.

I still hope we are in for Inler but we are having to wait to see if arsenal buy him or not. Still much activity to be had in the next two weeks IMO.

thought he was ok at chelski - I'd rather have central midfielders who can pass and accept the ball in tight spaces - a loan deal gives us a chance to have a proper look at him too. Presume he was good at Lyon and poor at Juve - nothing wrong there necessarily.

I'd like us to try and hi-jick the Cuellar bid from Villa - he and Colo would be a great pairing even if CB isn't our top priority. As KK said things will unfold this week.

I mostly agree with morgster but feel midfield is more of a priority than attack. WE agree we need a CM who can control possession but I think Butt is past it and we need a new holding CM player. I view Guthrie as a squad player and Geremi as too slow. I'm not sure where and where and when Barton fits in.

I'd still like Martins and Owen to be paired together and think Viduka is a good complement when fit. Carroll could be a fourth striker or we could use one of the wingers to play centrally (Duff?) if we play five in midfield.

In short I'd like an Emre who stayed fit and a giant to patrol in front og the back four (Faye?) and help protect dead balls against the likes of Bolton. In my dreams I'd like better but think KK should be able to progress with these two.

I'd rather have Faye as a central midfield player than Butt if we don't get anyone in - might be possible if we get this signing.

Saw him once against our reserves. Best attacker on the pitch. Shame we can't get him permanently.

By time we get Aimar the press will be 'Don't cry for me.......' as they close up on Keegan when we go 4-3 down.

The problem I have with what was said wasn't the target of 5th for next season (5th to 8th for me) but the negative view that we can't break into the top four in three years. It will not be possible to win the league in three years as this would involve overtaking all four teams in years two and three assuming we get to 5th next year. BUT I do think we MAY be able to catch one of the four on the basis that sh*t happens. So have if Arsenal lose not lose Flamini and Hleb but Fabregas and Abelayour in a year. What happens if Gerrard and Torres get injured or the ownership issue hits Liverpool?

So we need to spend £40m a year, every year, to just compete at a top 8 level; more to catch up with the top four. Targeting fifth is realistic in the short term but don't look too far ahead please KK as none of us know the future that well and the likes of Modric et al aint coming to play for 5th place - the players; fans; owner and management need to have dreams.
