  1. Apparently it takes Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal to qualify as good football? The idiot clearly hasn't been watching.
  2. Are you mental? He's been our best player by far. That's what I was saying.
  3. Why do they keep knocking it long to Viduka? He hardly ever wins the ball and when he does it's a foul.
  4. Adebayor, my fantasy team hero. Pool 0 Birmingham 0. After Setanta spent 10 minutes before the match saying that Bruce would probably take a 0-3.
  5. He annoyed Ferguson, so I'll miss him. Goodbye Jose.
  6. Bellamy* (West Ham) - Lita (Reading) - Bale (Tottenham) - Scholes* (Man U) - Steven Davis (Fulham) - Bentley (Blackburn) - Baines (Everton) - Taylor (Newcastle) - McManus* (Celtic) - Richards (Man City) - Carson (Liverpool) Hoyte (Arsenal) - Nugent (Portsmouth) - Young (Villa) - Jerome (Birmingham) - Hutton (Rangers) - Barnes (Derby) - Cotterill (Wigan) - Smith (Chelsea) - Cattermole (Boro) - Guthrie (Bolton) - Wallace (Sunderland) - Some British goalkeeper from the Championship. That was difficult. And I've guessed at some of their ages.
  7. Walcott was in a World Cup squad so can't be included right?

What do you mean by not a "settled" team? Without much argument, England's potential squad for the finals (if they even make it) would be: James, Robinson, Carson A. Cole, Shorey, Terry, Ferdinand, Lescott, Richards, G. Neville Gerrard, Barry, Lampard, Wright-Phillips, J. Cole, Lennon, Beckham, Hargreaves, Carrick Owen, Heskey, Rooney, Crouch With the odd exception, maybe Bridge or Bentley for Shorey & Beckham, that would have to be it. You say the team isn't settled, but your only point is that you want Rooney in for Heskey.

and keiran richardson at left wing, as he played so well against the USA and columbia. point being, two games against s*** opposition hasn't solved england's problems or formed a settled team. Bingo . Woopdeedoo England played well against the likes of Israel and Russia (at home may i add), dosent mean much tbh. Heskey played well again but do you really trust him to perform like this against the bigger nations? i certainly dont. One thing i would be delighted about though is not having to see fat boy Frank on the pitch on a regular basis. So what is it you want to change exactly? Dropping Barry, who has played well? Or is it just Heskey that bothers you? The fact of the matter is that England will always be playing those long balls forward. Heskey is good at bringing them down. Rooney isn't. He's a good player, but he should be rotated into the side with Owen. Not partnered with him. When have you seen it work?

    Euro 2008

The last two matches have been England's best in years. Anyone who wants to tinker with it for the sake of including players with massive reputations is just mental. This latest formula looks like a winner - Owen OR Rooney (not together) paired with Heskey OR Crouch. On current form, Heskey & Owen. No question. We've seen no evidence that Owen & Rooney are an effective partnership. Little & large is what they know how to do, so why mess with it? Lampard should be in the squad as cover for Gerrard. Not first choice. Barry, Hargreaves & Carrick for the other midfield role. In that order. It just seems like common sense at this point. England finally play well, and everyone wants to change things.

That looked like a first choice England XI to me. Rooney, Neville & Lampard can sod off.

  13. In today's market, £5 million is nothing for a young, talented English player. We bought Smith for more than that! Whether he actually is overrated or not is totally irrelevant. If Liverpool rate him, then they can pay according to his reputation.

It will be pretty impresive if Roy Hodgson can take another average team to the finals of a major tournament.
  15. They were cruising until he took Keane off.
  16. Fulham 3-Spurs 3! LOLOLOLOLOL
  17. Bad luck would suggest it hadn't happened for the previous 600 minutes. 0-0 against 10 man Wigan is a terrible result, no excuses can be made.
  18. There are 15 goals in the other 5 matches being played at the moment. FFS.
  19. Ditto. Or Wigan will pinch one before the end. This game has 'one of those days' written all over it. Steve Bennett having a nightmare as usual by all accounts. It's been 'one of those days' for 600 minutes of football. No excuses for not scoring tbh.
