  1. I don't understand the objections.  Are FIFA really going to prevent the Home Nations from competing individually if they field a UK XI?  Do they even care?  It will more than likely affect nothing.  This isn't about flags and f***ing politics, it's about fielding a team for people to enjoy.  It isn't life or death, it's just a one off.

So take 5 from each of the U-21 teams, pick 3 senior players, stick them in the Escape to Victory shirt and get the f*** on with it.  It would be fun, don't spoil it.

Never read such a rediculously biased match report. Maybe death is a little much but significant physical pain should be inflicted upon the people who write these.

And yet Blackburn get a draw at home to Hull, and the Mail's headline is "Upbeat Ince relies on the Cruz control to earn Blackburn point".   :idiot2:

  3. Yep £12m for Malouda according to Sundays Mail among others.

Newcastle are ready to spend £12million on Chelsea winger Florent Malouda if Stamford Bridge boss Luiz Felipe Scolari signs Robinho from Real Madrid.

And Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has sanctioned a late transfer window spree which could bring in Malouda and up to three more players.

When ex-Chelsea captain Dennis Wise, Newcastle's executive director (football), approached his former club about Malouda, he was told that the France star would be allowed to leave only if a deal for Robinho was completed.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon gave conflicting signals last night, in one breath accusing Robinho of disrespect for trying to secure a move so close to the start of the Spanish season, and with the next insisting that Real have no desire to keep players who want to leave.

Chelsea are believed to have offered about £20m for the Brazil forward. Newcastle, meanwhile, have also targeted Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos, Wigan winger Antonio Valencia and the Czech Republic pair, Michal Kadlec of Sparta Prague and Marek Jankulovski of AC Milan.

I don't know about Malouda.  Might be worth a second chance if Wise can get a really good deal from his old mates.  Thumbs way fucking up to signing Jankulovski though.  Can you imagine going from Carr & Babayaro as our full backs to Beye and Jankulovski?   :nope:

    Given - 10

    Beye - 7

    Coloccini - 6

    Taylor - 7

    N'Zogbia - 6

    Milner - 7

    Butt - 6

    Guthrie - 6

    Gutierrez - 8

    Martins - 6

    Geremi - 7

    Owen - 8

Coloccini gets a 6 and Taylor a 7? :shifty:  f***ing hell I wonder how you'd mark it if Coloccini was the one who gave away a pen..

ditto.. need a better rating from someone esle.

Maybe Taylor earned a 6 instead.  But Colo wasn't that impressive today against Davies.  Live with it.

Maybe he earned a 6 now you consider that he gave away a idiotic penalty eh? mackems.gif

Take it easy.. Football is about opinions. I didn't see the game () so I can't comment, but an accidental handball doesn't make Taylor a poor defender.

If you didn't see the game, how do you know it was accidental?

Are you saying he did it on purpose?

On the balance, I think Taylor had a better game than Coloccini which is why I gave him a better rating.  The idiots that start frothing at the mouth when he kisses the badge or throws his shirt into the stands will have difficulty accepting that.
