Anyone up for a trip to Lens? I've heard the away end there is right nice.
-
- Typical shit game against shit European opposition. - If they'd had a striker with any form of pace we wouldn't have won tonight - Steven Taylor was poor i thought - There was no atmosphere - That is the last time Luque will play for us - We badly missed Emre tonight - Games like this we should win at a canter to instill confidence for league games. - The atmosphere was gash - I couldnt hear the Toon Ultras in the corner and I sit halfway along the East. - I had some mackems sitting behind me which pissed me off no end.
-
What is the Toon Ultra's stance regarding Albert Luque ??

I give the crowd/greyseats 5 minutes to start getting on his back

Naa, just tar every fuker with the same brush mood. But to be fair, name me a French footballer without an attitude problem? Henry? Veira? Zidane? Ginola? Robert? Dumas? Pires? First time Franck Dumas has been mentioned in the same breath as those other players im guessing.

A big fee plus loads of add ons (appearances, caps, trophies etc) and maybe try get a couple of young players in return (even if on loan). Saying that b4 he got injured he was pretty gash so maybe our wonderful board/management team would accept a pittance bid.

From Wiki: In the summer of 2006, the club moved to a new 17,000 capacity stadium, the DSB Stadion: DSB Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of AZ Alkmaar. The stadium is able to hold 17,023 people and it officially opened on 4 August 2006 with a friendly against Arsenal. AZ lost the match 3-0, with Gilberto Silva scoring the stadium's first ever goal. DSB Stadion replaces the club's former ground, Alkmaarder Hout. The main stand is called Victorie Tribune, the stand with the fanatic supporters is called Van der Ben Tribune (Ben-Side), the stand behind the other goal is called Westzijde, and the stand opposite to the main stand is called Molenaar Tribune. The official name is DSB Stadion, but some supporters call it Victorie Stadion, a name that alludes to a victory over Spain during the Eighty Years' War. Quelle Suprise! Moaning about the view too, why would a home team give the best seats to away fans?!
-
They've got a new stadium since Boro played them. Holds 17,000 now rather than 8,000.

Disagree with the fans thing, was at uni down south for 3 years before this season and their gates were average at best, most fans have just jumped on the bandwagon this season, and even now a few of the games (Wigan,Blackburn have been a bit of full)and a few of games last season where they were nie on invincible at home. Says on Wiki that they are applying to extend the ground (why i don't know?!). To use an e.g. up here my next door neighbours are Reading 'fans' despite having no interest in football up until this season,

on a general point, i've never understood why Lev7 Milb is more expensive than the East stand, i sit in the East and as far im concerned have a superb view.
