  1. Bolton are nothing like Wigan, they've won the fa cup four times for one thing and crucially as far as thisdiscussion matters they've got the 13th best record in top flight football which is a better record than the likes of Leeds, Blackburn, Forest, West Ham etc. they've also been in and around the premiership for 12 years, unlike wigan. All fair points. Part of my criteria for what makes a tinpot nationwide club is the matchday experience and Bolton tick every box in the "circus" category, that's my main reason. No club with cheerleaders should be in the Premiership. I'd make that an official rule btw. True, although if they were topless lovelies id be prepared to waive that rule.
  2. Aye, Reading, Charlton, Pompey and Fulham fall into this category for me too same with Boro if they weren't a local club too.
  3. hoe the f*** do you measure passion? People standing up and clapping behind the goal, like they've seen the final scene of Les Miserables on Shaftesbury Avenue, after a last minute equaliser against your nearest enemy, that's a good measure of passionless nobheads....i.e. the other Saturday. you're hilarious . Try answering the question seriously rather then trying to be a comedian or dont bother asking me to answer any of your pathetic questions. Can't be measured properly. But generally noise and facial contortion would be a good sign. Thanks mate, im guessing Stevie the prat didnt know the answer himself hence him not answering my question properly. I notice he usually adopts this tactic when He's either totally wrong or just simply dosent have a clue. or it could be he just thinks your a cunt of course
  4. Aye Wimbledon were about when i was a kid in the Prem: i hope MK Dons get surpassed by AFC Wimbledon eventually.

  6. Based on nothing other than clubs i deem to be proper football clubs (decent support, bit of history/stature) In no particular order(other than into my head): 1: Newcastle 2: Man United 3: Liverpool 4: Man City 5: Arsenal 6: Spurs 7: Everton 8: Chelsea 9: Leeds 10: Forest 11: Sheff Weds 12: Mackems 13: Villa 14: West Ham 15: Blackburn 16: Derby 17: Southampton 18: Wolves 19: Middlesbrough 20: Ipswich/Norwich (i see them as the same club pretty much) 16 downwards i was really stuggling i have to admit. A lot of other teams that came close. I'd quite like to see Cardiff in the prem even tho i know a lot wouldn't.
  7. Wouldnt be suprised, their home record kept em up when they were first up, look at our record at The Dell, hadnt won their for fuck knows how long and then we've never lost at St. Marys. Still whether it'll get built is still up for debate. Even if an away team is playing well its hard for the away support to generate noise due to the lack of roof so noise jus evaporates skywards unlike the home stands.

  9. Barca - Real is way more than a derby. Way bigger than anything we have in England, its about recent politics, oppression of a people, etc.etc. Celtic - Rangers is biggest in Britain Liverpool - Man U in England Us - Mackems second Boca - River worldwide Im guessing due to poor stadiums and lax security quite a few of the other S.American derbies get a bit tasty. Feyenoord - Ajax does get a bit tasty at times. Van Persie got attacked by Ajax fans at a reserve match when at Feyenoord which is why he moved to England i remember reading somewhere. They're bigger clubs than Newcastle and Sunderland, Man Utd always will be probably, but I disagree. It is intense Man Utd v Liverpool, and it's the biggest fixture in English football, but not the most intense derby. How many times do you see Man Utd fans in their end at Anfield, nearly every fuckin season. There'd be near deaths at the SOS, SJP, fuck the directors box. I remember in the early 90's when there used to be toon in the Clock Stand Paddock, we'd score and it would look like something off Gangs of New York for aboot 15 minutes, plenty on here will remember those scenes. Aye true, im hoping it'll be Champs League final to see what fun & games will go on in Athens. After living down south i never realised how much hatred there was between Pompey and Saints but not a patch on a few others like. Harry stirred it up something rotten with his dodgy antics n all.
  10. Absolutely, along with about eight other clubs. Get Leeds, Forest, The Mackems and Sheff Wed back in. I'm very disappointed to see Leeds about to go down. Real football club. Aye very true, real clubs with real supporters even if Leeds fans are a bunch of cunts on the whole. Always a good game when we play Leeds usually as well with a cracking atmosphere. Get Fulham,Wigan, Charlton and other such shit clubs back down the leagues
  11. That's because Arsenal have never really cared about Spurs for the past umpteen years as they've been so insignificant. They care far more about their games with Man Utd. pure rubbish tbh. Any true Gooner will tell you that the North London derby is the game they all get excited to and want to win the most. Never really cared about us?? like last season you mean? I do agree if you speak to a lot of Arsenal fans they think Spurs fans are c***s, but for a few years I think they hated Man Utd more. However, both Spurs and Arsenal fans are amongst the least passionate in British football, which basically equates to a piss poor derby atmosphere. agreed that arse fans are boring c***s hehe and most of your fans are from the same areas which the Arsenal fans are from. Tell me a less passionate group of fans in England than Spurs, of all the clubs who get over 30,000. Id say Arsenal are worse than Spurs fans just. Bunch of posh twats who sit on their hands the ones i know. Spurs not much better.

  13. Aye still struggled to fill Fratton this season. There have been previous plans to redo Fratton by turning the pitch 90 degrees over last few year but they've done nowt about it. If you look at the pitches at bottom of screen should jus build there and share with the Navy club. Hopefully by the time its finished they've fucked back off to the Championship
  14. Owen Archdeacon David Bardsley David Hopkin Enzo Schifo Mohammed Al Dayaea - Saudi keeper who was shite Bart Goor Vegard Heggem Egil Olsen (manager) Carl Leaburn
  15. aye that bloke who played for iran with that dodgy tash George Weahs better cousin man seen him play for Gatesheed.... Torben Piechnik Simon Grayson Roberto Mancini Tony Thorpe Scott Oakes Alan Smart
  16. I hope its gonna be a dirty game with several yellows/reds/injuries etc etc. Hopefully the ref will be the geezer from the Holland/Portugal game in the World cup. Would be interesting to see if Liverpool go through and get Man U to see if it all kicks off in Athens. Hopefully Benetiz and Mourihno gets some punches in n all in a touchline bustup.
  17. hope global warming doesnt get to bad either otherwise its gonna be fucked.
  18. Would be better off redoing Fratton in my opinion as that seems unnecessarily expensive and especially as they'll have to fill the sea in. Not very good transport access down to Gunwharf either and where are these ferrys gonna take people? Gosport? I.O.W? Not very convenient for the masses. Isnt it going to be right next/in the HMS Victory site n all. Certainly ambitious like/
  19. Never knew he was so quick along the ground, Milan do play to his strengths though affording him a free role and license to do whatever. What also impressed me was Clarence Seedorfs first touch, dont think he miscontrolled once.
  20. Stevie ... there seems to be one large English group missing from your list... care to share? haha beat me to it
  21. youve definatly been hitting that crack pipe one to many times imo. Fletcher put in a SUPERB performance. The guy was everywhere and kept going for the whole 90 minutes. He was easily utd's best midfielder closely followed by scholes then carrick. CRACK IS WACK i think its me who need to sack off the crack(or have more of it) if im agreeing with you.
  22. Thought he played really well tonight although, did a lot of work in midfield closing down and pressurising leaving Carrick and Scholes time to do their jobs of which second half they did superbly. Gattuso's exit was the lynchpin moment though: superb player who was doing the same job for Milan and when he went off Milans midfield struggled. Gotta blame Dida and Nesta for final goal, Nesta didnt attempt to block and Dida was in no mans land positionally.
