I said this the other day but would like to say it again. I described Agbonlahor as a one trick pony at the start of the season. I was wrong. He's turning into a very good striker indeed.

in a 4-3-3 the centre of  the forward 3 has to be able to hold the ball up agreed, but he also has to be mobile and be able to work the left and right channels for it to be effective .. viduka doesnt do this he is to static

he's a foreign player, doesnt speak any english, hasn't been brilliant, but hasn't been garbadge, has fucked up a couple of times like any other palyer... he's got obvious potential just needs time to settle in.

The thing people have to remember is yes Sam played s*** tactics today but the players put in a non performance, they were making basic school boy errors all over the park throughout the whole game. Say if Sam played the exact same tactics but the players put in a good quality performance ie actually played football like they want to wear the shirt, would the scoreline had been the same? Would it f***! we would only have lost about 1-0 or else got something out of the game. Having seen the highlights im fully blaming the players, ill blame Sams tactics when the players actually perform and it still doesnt work.

Exactly. He may as well not have bothered with the front 2 with the midfield he sent out.  How do you think Viduka and Martins feel looking at the team sheet and seeing virtually nobody capable of whipping a bill in.  Its an embarassment.

Regardless of tactics and formations the players should put in 100% every week, if it isnt working then fine, on the managers head be it, but how do we know the managers tactics arnt working if the players dont perform? Players turning on the manager and making the fans sit through non performances like today is unacceptable and the players should be ashamed.

it's not effort,players can give 100% but if they don't feel right it doesn't come off,no lack of effort involved.

if this is true then the players should be lined up and shot ... although i think this is crap because there are no quotes and most of the players today were his buys nd would have known what to expect

if he realises that the negative football doesn't work, and he starts to play to the players strengths, i think he can turn it  round, especially when the back four finally become settled.  So i think im going to stick with him for now, cos i dont belive he is as bad as he is looking at the minute

zog left, milner right, a holding midfielder, and attacking midfielder  ... 4 at the back ... 2 upfront ...simple: pass the ball try and get down the flanks..  and try and get crosses in the box why is that so fucking difficult for our army of backroom staff to understand?

we beat liverpool 2-1 last season, and apparently we should be better this season

we do have the quality to beat teams like liverpool, but not if we play for draws... we need a winning mentality ... our football is far too negative
