Gone for over 3.5 pre-KO. Man Utd to win by 1 at 15/4 when in play. Small dabble on 3-2 both ways.

Why do people post this? Aside from it being blindingly obvious that it's what you'd 'want', it's near enough the least likely thing to ever happen. Just picture people posting it, then reclining and thinking to themselves, 'Yeah, I've made my point there. This is how shit's going down.'. All with a smug, self appreciating grin on their face. nailonhead.gif

I think any manager going on that run of 11 defeats in 13 (IAC) is going to be looking fragile from a confidence perspective. Whatever he was trying to achieve with the available group of players just wasn't happening - in November, it was a series of woeful performances. In December, the performances picked up but the results weren't falling our way (contrast to the previous season). Didn't he admit in January that he was glad/relieved to have the injured players back and the new arrivals to boost the squad? The point ref: form sending us down - I've maintained that the 11 in 13 (IAC) was due to the circumstances and misfortune that had occurred in Nov/Dec. I just couldn't imagine, nor foresee that continuing for the next couple of months. Not even a 10% chance (1).

Give your head a shake, Jon. You're falling into the knee-jerkists' trap of judging things before they've had chance to unfold. Wait until the season finishes before saying it was a success/failure. Also, are you just going to look at the end of season results (league finish, cup performances, etc) or how we played over the season or how the squad improved/weakened from the start or how the younger players improved/regressed?

That's almost pata-esque
-
Burnley (went for them over Leicester) Sheff Utd (went for them over Hartlepool) Think all of the others went in, so should break even for the night.
-
Had Sheff Utd Burnley Bolton + over 2.5 Real v Barca + over 2.5 Everton v Oldham + Evian TG permed patents and trixie.

Michael, you're confusing my posts with your own. Stop clicking on 'show me' and concentrate on posting something worthwhile. Do you ever engage in discussion anymore? Or do you just post 'witty' comments and abuse of NUFC/posters?

It wasn't contrary for you Stu, for as has been so ably pointed out by Interpolic, when we were getting beat by West Ham, Reading , Southampton etc, ie the lowest points, you weren't even posting here. And as for the stats you've kindly reminded us of, the only time we need to worry is when we have 4 managers in a season then ? People were rightly concerned because of the perceived lack of common sense or investment when we were last in this predicament. when we lost to West Ham, they were the first team other than the current champions of England and Europe that we'd lost to. Why on earth would that spark relegation fears? When we lost to Southampton, we'd just been playing in Europa (still adapting to playing Thurs/Sun and rotating) but by all accounts it was one of our poorest and most disjointed games. We were starting to feel the affects of the injuries/absences with the not-yet-ready Shane Ferguson starting. 3 league defeats in a row, but enough to spark relegation fears? Your counter points are little more than snide digs at posters you don't like/agree with. Unless you come up with a point that hasn't already been covered and is relevant to the topic, I'll leave it to other people to entertain you on a work-shy Tuesday.

Er, if it's supposed to be the Northumbria Coach Lane Campus 3G pitch (i.e. where we played the Norwegian supporters) then that's not the pitch. If it's at the Newcastle Uni Coach Lane site, then you've marked the astroturf pitch, the 3G pitch (where the reds won 3-1) is underneath.

The only time NUFC have been relegated from the Premier League: - we had 4 managers (including JFK and the experienced Alan Shearer) - a fan 'bouycoutt' due to a club legend being forced out/toxic atmosphere in the stands (until the threat of relegation loomed large) - a squad of over-paid and past-their-sell-by-date 'stars' (many of whom had been signed by the previous regime) - a ridiculous injury list keeping our best players out of the team for many of the games - we were a deflected goal away from staying up That's the current benchmark for being relegated from the Premierleague as NUFC. We may have had one (injuries), maybe two (possible crowd vs Pardew issue) repeats this season. It's not 'contrary' to think it highly unlikely for that outcome to be repeated when those circumstances are not going to be matched or exceeded (Pardew was given the 8 year deal in Autumn).

what a crock of shite man, he cannot string a cohesive counter to any of the points so dismisses it all as "cuckoo" and contrary for the sake of it. I guess he derives as much fun being miserable on here as he gets from the team underperforming on the pitch.
