Hopefully we have a sell on clause because if he does well next season I can see City coming in with a ridiculous fee. Carroll being the mercenary he is will no doubt jump for their wages.
-
Realistically, we dont even have enough time do we?
-
I cant even watch them. Bunch of absolute morons.
-
Really not looking forward to our trip to Anfield.
-
Because he doesnt care? He is getting his wages trebled man, money talks these days in football.
-
Newcastle statement: A British record transfer fee has been agreed between Newcastle United and Liverpool for Magpies striker Andy Carroll. The 22-year-old England international has this afternoon handed in a transfer request, which has reluctantly been accepted by the club, and Carroll is currently in talks with The Reds over a move to Anfield.
-
Pardew will only get about £15 - £20 million out of this if he is lucky. He will probably spend it on shite as well.
-
TalkShite reckon NUFC are holding out to find a replacement.
-
If this bid is rejected I cant see Liverpool coming in again tbh.
-
Get the fuck in!
-
Were you not around for our last 4 games?
-
Nolan is going to tell him to fuck Liverpool off. King Kev.
-
Deals like £5million for Ben Arfa, £4million for Tiote etc make me feel reasonably optimistic about the fee, but we will more than likely get average players for big money. Thats if the whole £35million is reinvested tbh.
-
I wouldnt say we are a selling club. Its similar to £50million for Torres or £80million for Ronaldo. When a massive bid comes in for a player you sometimes have to accept. The only thing is we are accepting it at a stage were we cant spend it to replace Carroll and will only leave a massive hole in our team.
-
The transfer fee is irrelevant for now in my opinion. We still have half the season to play without our best forward and wont have time today to buy anyone with it. Also there are no guarantees all of the money will go back into the transfer kitty. Pardew could also spend it in a similar fashion to Keane at Sunderland i.e. paying high fees for average players. If Carroll is worth £35 million then we should keep him and build the team around him.
-
What will the reaction towards Pardew be if Carroll goes? All this nonsense saying Carroll definitely wont leave will prove to be yet more lies. I dont care if the bid was massive and if Ashley made the decision, Pardew came out and said Carroll wouldnt go. Im not sure what is worse though, Pardew being a liar or him not having enough balls to stand up to Ashley and fight for his players.
-
How long has Carroll been out? Have we lost since? It wouldnt surprise me if Ashley thinks we can live without him.
-
Carroll could always refuse their contract.
-
Maybe he will get his act together, be a good player for Newcastle and get back into the frame for the Irish national side.
-
Jonas will be dropped when Ben Arfa is back.
-
He must hate himself for leaving. He was settled up in Newcastle, he would be getting games until the end of his career and he would have been a legend in everyones eyes for generations. He was the closet thing to Shearer for me, especially with him being Irish. I was gutted when he left but I still appreciate the 11 years he gave the club and wouldnt even dare boo him.

Its going to be a pain in the arse hearing this same story every week of the summer.
-
We play on Wednesday?! Brilliant! I thought our next game was next Saturday and I would miss it.
-
You would drop Nolan?
-
If he signs and everyone is fit it will be: Barton Tiote Nolan Ben Arfa Ireland Carroll Picks itself tbh.
