Exactly why i dont think we need to be looking at them. Boro get results, not too long ago they were unbeaten. Its the teams like Bolton and Sunderland who rarely get results or seem to have all the luck against them. They are just like us at the minute, the difference being we have the quality to get going and they dont. Boro will stay up, if anyone is going down instead of us its either Sunderland or Bolton, probably Bolton.

Aye who cares. Shepherd nearly ruined this club completely with silly spending and total ignorance towards our finances. Ashley has come in and has gave us a future without debt. Mort said it himself that this club could well have folded under Shepherd and you wonder why he is keeping an eye on the balance sheets? How about learning from past mistakes made by past chairmen? I have no doubts Mort and Ashley will give Keegan the money he needs to improve us, but while also keeping an eye on our finances which is comforting tbh after the state Shepherd left us in. But yeah who cares about our finances when we are in the cup final.

Duff is a different player for Ireland, he is actually good, for me its down to playing for his country, full of pride, passion etc. Things he doesnt have for NUFC. I watch Newcastle play at least 40 games a season, i watch Ireland play about 8 or so? For that reason i want rid of him, regardless of how good he is for Ireland he is bad for Newcastle and that is all that matters tbh.

I'd agree that the semi has increased our chances of getting the points there, but Birmingham could also find a Lord Mayor's show there on Wednesday night, Wigan might turn out against Nugent, and other games in which our rivals feature vs Portsmouth may have a friendly atmosphere against a Pompey side with increased fixture congestion. None of the sides around us have the quality we have though. We need a win, get it on Monday night and we are flying.
